Last year Mum and I supported and spoke at the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust Nurses Symposium to support this very project. Are you a nurse and interested in this field?

When mum had her dissection there was no aortic nurse, she had me.

When Rebecca had her dissection the was no aortic nurse, she had me, Mum, David and Angela.

This is currently a postcode lottery but the trust are fighting for change and we are continuing to support alongside in any way we can.

Supporting aortic dissection patients in the UK by providing specialist nurses for essential care, annual scans, and lifestyle guidance.

My chat with Whispering Bob Harris about The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust and bringing impacted families together ❤️

I very fortunate to be able to attend a special event hosted by the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust and help with a project looking at the phsychological impact of aortic dissection. I met some really lovely and inspiring people who shared their stories with each other and on camera with Dr Mark Griffiths, Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Head of Clinical Health Psychology Services at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital and Bob Harris OBE, Ambassador for the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust and survivor of aortic dissection.

Its been a beautiful weekend full of friends, sweat, running, car snacks, sweat, sunshine, sweat, family and sweat 🤣

If this week hasn't been stressful enough, our Air BnB fell through today after we found out we couldn’t arrive after 10pm but a quick google and phone call to Swindon Central and the wonderful receptionist there saved the day and sorted us out a couple of rooms last minute. So grateful!
