This post is a little different from what we usually share—but it’s one we’ve needed to write for a long time.
We want to talk about the power of online reviews—and the damage they can cause when misused.
Recently, our business was targeted in a cyber attack by someone we now know to be mentally unwell. The matter is in police hands, but the experience has been eye-opening. As a small business, we are incredibly vulnerable. One comment, one false review, can unravel years of work. And getting support is painfully slow.
Alongside this, two clients—who visited us over six months ago—left one-star reviews we believe were written not to offer feedback, but to cause harm. And it hurts. We ask ourselves: why?
We work long days, often through exhaustion and pressure, to create something meaningful—not for praise, but for people. For you. To make you feel seen, held, cared for. Every treatment is done with soul.
We know we can’t please everyone. We know we can make mistakes. We’re human—that’s why we still do this job ourselves, and not robots (yet!). But we show up with care. Every day.
What we’ll never understand is why someone would try to destroy what we’ve built, deliberately. If something went wrong—reach out. Call. Message. Let’s talk. Let’s grow. But why jump straight to a public review without a conversation?
One unfair post can undo years of love, effort, and trust. Please remember that small businesses are people. Real people. And when they’re silenced, all that’s left are faceless giants.
Before you post, pause. Breathe. Ask yourself: could this harm someone?
Lastly, we want to apologise to George, who was wrongly named online and received abuse. He is not part of our team and has done nothing wrong. No one deserves to be dragged into this.
This is the reality of the internet—a place of beauty, but also of harm. Let’s be kinder. Let’s protect one another. Let’s stay human.
