Digital Orthodontics: Honest Reflections on the Cutting Edge

The digital revolution has perpetually changed our specialty, with three-dimensional records now the standard, and digital information accessible. While technology excites and indeed captivates us clinicians, do our patients benefit?

These keynote speakers will showcase what can be done with the latest advances to improve process, workflow and perhaps our results. They will play hostage to fortune, painting a picture of our future working lives while reflecting with humility on the evidence concerning digital trends and objective outcomes.

Registration is open, and you can benefit from discounted early-bird rates until 13 April 2026!

We are so excited so many of you are joining for Prof. Dr. Dirk Wiechmann's lecture tomorrow!

If you you are wondering weather to join read the abstract below and get an idea of what to expect 🦷

Abstract:
Few treatment modalities in orthodontics have evolved as significantly over recent years and decades as Lingual Orthodontics (LO). Many of the often highly subjective statements made by colleagues whose experience with lingual appliances dates back 20 years or more no longer apply to the current situation. Critical discussion points such as patient comfort, bracket loss, finishing, and general clinical handling have lost much of their former relevance over time and can now largely be regarded as “problems solved”. The extensive individualisation of modern lingual appliances, both in treatment planning and in the manufacturing process itself, has opened up new possibilities not only for LO but for orthodontics as a whole.
