Walking in a forest or in nature is so healing. In Japan, they have tree hugging therapy and now some therapists also do walk and talk therapy.
Nature connects us to our roots as humans, where nature was an integral part of people’s lives.
I come back feeling refreshed, and calm. Sometimes, if the walk is long and energetic, I also feel very tired 😀.

Spring always fills me with hope and joy. It’s a time that shows us that there’s stability and predictability in our world. The way plants regrow, the buds come out after being dormant, the buds flowering, the leaves growing and regaining their wonderful colours. All this seems to be telling us that all is well. There’s something in nature that we can count on. If we feel unsure, insecure, depressed, nature gives us a gesture telling us that there is stability somewhere and it can be reassuring amongst the chaos. Then there are the beautiful , varied colours, the sun shining more, the sound of the birds who are enjoying nature’s generous offers…… all this can help us feel calmer and more grounded.
Try and enjoy this by going for walks or gardening in gardens or pots.
Let’s recharge ourselves with hope and love.
