Hi, I still think it's a crime that Mirror's Edge: Catalyst was a reboot and not a sequel; the original game just captured my interest in a way that the setting and story of Catalyst couldn't, the atmosphere of the first title, the music, the aesthetic and design all just worked to make this world that was almost fantastical in its mundanity.

I am fully prepared to die laughing upon this hill, and I will not be taking criticism or commentary.

How could we as a humanity let Troika games fall apart? Has anyone here played Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura? It's one of the best video games ever developed.

Specifically its worldbuilding is awe inspiring. If you by any chance loved Planescape Torment, you should be firmly in love with Arcanum once you play it.

One day Deep Learning systems will extend all our favourite games into infinity but until then, we gotta hope for the Bloodlines 2 game being not so bad.

While I don't agree with the title of 'Villain' for Majima, this is a really good little video essay by YouTuber 'Oni' on how the Mad Dog of Shimano becomes the legendary, highly-feared force he's known as.

The Yakuza series is something I've played and loved for years, watching it blow up in popularity since the release of Yakuza 0 has been wonderful, and Majima is easily my favourite character in the entire series.

The comparison between Kiryu and Majima to Batman and The Joker isn't entirely far off, either. Both pairs can be considered two sides of the same coin, and similar to The Joker, Majima is an agent of chaos, but Majima is also fiercely loyal, dependable and self-sacrificial to those he cares about, while he dresses it up in 'If anyone's gonna kill Kiryu, it's going to be me', I have never once detected hostility in that sentiment.

Majima is far more an 'Anti-Hero' than he is a Villain, but regardless I do recommend this video.
