Anger
It happens, we all have our moments.
The question is, is anger the odd moment here and there for you, or is it an emotion/energy constantly bubbling under the surface?
Anger can be a good thing. It’s a primary emotion, it lets us know when something or someone has crossed a boundary. It can be the catalyst to implementing positive changes to our lives.
Thing is, anger is often suppressed or expressed but not released.
Something happens and we replay and relive it over and over again. It festers under the surface until the perfect trigger comes along and we explode.
This Reiki principle encourages us to recognise anger and release it. Allowing us to invite happiness into our lives.
Tip
Practice reframing.
Take this example for instance:
You’re on your way to work and someone cuts you up at the lights. You Slam on the brakes to avoid a collision. You toot your horn instantaneously out of anger. The rider who is clearly in the wrong responds by giving you the finger.
That would p**s off most people!
But, it’s what you do from that point onwards that makes a difference.
You could rant about it for the rest of the journey. Then recount it to your colleagues when you get to work, and allow it to set the tone for the rest of your day. Or, you could reframe the situation in those moments straight after it happened saying to yourself “ maybe that person has a family emergency and really needs to hurry to his destination“
Taking a few deep breaths and continuing with your day as you were.
