We have to stay grounded in reality and the present moment to prevent ourselves getting swept away by our own romantic ideal versions of people. Notice who they really are and how they treat you in the real world.

This is me after hiking Mt. Snowden 🏔

I never thought it possible, especially with my bad knees! But I started gym a couple years prior to it and somehow not only did I reach the peak but I had no issues at all! In fact it was a lot easier than I had imagined 😁

Inner work can feel like climbing a mountain sometimes. That's why having a guide is so important.

When a storm is brewing, the wind picks up, you're blown off course, or your knees give out. Your guide will be there to pick you back up and get you to safe ground so you can get to clear the skies again.

On a healing journey, scaling the mountain isn't the challenge, it's about upgrading your tools and getting better at it each time 🧗‍♂️

ADHD and weight loss/gain can be difficult. Our brains are constantly seeking dopamine and a lot of the time, this comes in the form of food 🍝

On top of that, our brain hates structure and routine. So trying to stick to a diet plan or workout routine feels impossible.

You don't like what you see but you also can't get your brain to cooperate long enough to make changes 😣

I've worked hard to find a way that works for my brain. AuDHD adds a complex layer of wanting structure but needing flexibility. Once you find your rhythm, you can sustain it for life, but it takes time and patience with yourself.

Coaches often want to see adherence and data to see how you're doing, but if tracking is overwhelming or training on the same day at the same time every week seems impossible, you have to find sustainable ways together.

ADHDers can be plagued by a million thoughts at once. But the truth is, we control our thoughts, not the other way around.

It takes knowledge and practice to do this, it's not gonna happen overnight. Once you get the hang of it, it's a superpower. An extremely powerful tool for any situation.

AND you can tackle the overthinking much more simply when your brain becomes programmed to observe rather than latch onto thoughts.

Hindsight is 20/20. Live, learn, evolve and forgive your last self.

A simple shift in our thoughts can help to overcome this cycle. From pressure and guilt, to wanting to do it.

Your body holds everything your mind can’t process. Tension, emotions, stress. When you move, you’re not just training muscles, you’re releasing the energy that’s stuck.

Every rep, every deep breath, every drop of sweat is a reminder that you are in charge of your energy. Working out is a big part of how I regulate.

Healing isn’t passive. It’s choosing to move forward when your mind tells you to stay still. It’s showing up for yourself on the days you’d rather hide. It’s rewriting the story that says you’re not strong enough or that you can't do it. There is always a way.

Your body and mind are connected. When you strengthen one, you empower the other.
