🇬🇧 Remembrance Day 🇬🇧

What a wonderful afternoon we had! 🎶 Our residents were treated to a brilliant performance by Jamie, who filled the room with wartime favourites that brought back so many fond memories. ❤️

There were smiles all around as everyone clapped, danced, and sang along to the classics — a truly heartwarming way to honour and remember. 🌹

Thank you, Jamie, for bringing such joy to our home and helping us celebrate this special day in style!

🌺 Lest We Forget 🌺

Our wonderful residents have been getting creative this week during our arts and crafts session, making beautiful handmade poppies in honour of Remembrance Day. 🎨🖌️

It was a heartwarming afternoon filled with laughter, stories, and a shared sense of reflection. The residents poured so much love and care into each poppy — and the results are truly stunning! ❤️

These moments remind us how special it is to come together, express ourselves through creativity, and remember those who served.

✨ Festive Fun on Our Morning Outing! ✨

What a wonderful morning our residents had on their trip to Battersea Power Station! 🎄 You could feel the Christmas spirit in the air, with beautiful decorations twinkling everywhere we turned.

Our residents were absolutely delighted, taking in the sights, sharing smiles, and soaking up that magical festive atmosphere. Of course, no outing would be complete without a cosy coffee stop ☕ — the perfect chance to relax and chat about all the lovely decorations we’d seen.

It truly was a great outing filled with laughter, warmth, and festive cheer! 💫

✨ Bonfire Night Fun ✨

What a sparkling afternoon we had celebrating Bonfire Night! 🎆

Our residents got creative during an arts and crafts session, bringing a burst of colour and imagination to the day. We also enjoyed a fascinating short story about Guy Fawkes, followed by a lively quiz that tested everyone’s Bonfire Night knowledge — and, of course, there were plenty of laughs along the way! 😄

To round off the celebrations, we watched some spectacular fireworks . 💥

It was a truly joyful day filled with creativity, laughter, and community spirit — a perfect way to keep the November chill at bay! 🧣🔥

🐾 A Pawsitively Wonderful Morning! 🐾

We had a heart-warming visit from the lovely Poppy and her owner Peter 🐶💛
Our residents absolutely adored spending time with Poppy — there were plenty of cuddles, smiles, and laughter all around!

The visit sparked so many wonderful memories, with residents sharing stories about their own beloved pets from years gone by. It’s amazing how a wagging tail can bring so much joy and comfort 💕

Pet therapy truly brightens our days and reminds us just how special the bond between humans and animals can be. Thank you, Poppy and Peter, for making our day so special! 🐕✨

🎃👻 Spooktacular Fun! 👻🎃

What a fang-tastic Halloween celebration we had! 🕸️🕷️ Our residents were treated to brilliant entertainment by the wonderful Ellamae, who had everyone dancing, clapping, and singing along to some all-time favourites. 🎶💃🕺

Laughter filled the room as we shared plenty of smiles — and a fair few chocolates too! 🍫✨ It was a truly heart-warming afternoon full of fun, friendship, and festive spirit.

A huge thank you to Ellamae for bringing such joy to our residents, and to everyone who joined in the Halloween magic. 🎉🧡

Our residents had a wonderful time creating their own necklaces and bracelets during our bead-making workshop. 🎨💎

There were smiles all around as everyone got hands-on with beautiful beads, designing unique pieces to wear or gift to loved ones. It was a lovely afternoon filled with laughter, conversation, and creativity — and plenty of sparkle! ✨

At Acacia Care Centre, we love seeing our residents try new things, express themselves, and have fun together.

Our residents had a wonderful time during autumn-themed craft sessions! With soft music playing and plenty of friendly chatter, the room was filled with laughter, creativity, and a truly relaxing atmosphere.

Everyone enjoyed making colourful seasonal decorations and sharing stories as they worked — a perfect way to celebrate the beauty of autumn together. 🍁✨

There’s nothing like a bit of creativity (and a lot of laughter!) to brighten up an autumn afternoon! Our wonderful residents got hands-on with this year’s pumpkin carving — from sketching out their spooky designs to helping scoop out the pumpkins. 👻✨

The room was filled with smiles, chatter, and a fair bit of pumpkin pulp! 🍂💛

We’re so proud of everyone’s amazing creations — proof that a little teamwork and imagination go a long way.

🍂 Autumn is in the air — and so is the smell of freshly baked cake! 🎃

This week, our residents rolled up their sleeves for one of our autumn favourites — a delicious pumpkin cake! From mixing and stirring to that first warm slice, the kitchen was filled with laughter, chatter, and a wonderful sense of togetherness.

Of course, no cake is complete without a good old cuppa tea, which made the treat even sweeter. ☕️💛

Moments like these remind us how much joy simple activities can bring — and how every day is better when shared with friends.

Our wonderful staff and residents had a fabulous time coming together for a cheerful coffee morning, all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. 💗

From pink outfits and tasty cakes to laughter and conversation, the day was filled with warmth, smiles, and a shared sense of purpose. ☕🍰

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined in, donated, and helped us spread awareness for such an important cause. Together, we’re making a difference — one pink cuppa at a time! 💕✨

🌍🎉 Celebrating Black History Month! 🎉🌍

Our residents had a brilliant time honouring Black History Month with a celebration full of flavour, rhythm, and reflection. ✨

They tucked into a delicious feast – from jollof rice, rice and peas with mouth-watering jerk chicken, to sweet fried plantain. Washed down with classic Caribbean soft drinks, it was a true taste of the islands! 🍗🍚🥤

We spent the afternoon sharing stories, exploring inspiring quotes from iconic Black figures throughout history, and enjoying the sounds of reggae music that had a few toes tapping and smiles all around. 🎶📚💬

A joyful and meaningful day celebrating culture, history, and togetherness. ❤️💛💚
