✨Creating Storage in Awkward Spaces✨

Our son’s bedroom had an old fireplace that limited the layout and looked pretty awful 😝

⚡️We turned it into useful storage by adding two MDF shelves to create a bookcase and toy storage.

⚡️We removed the old surround and added a simpler floating shelf

⚡️A lick of paint and some new tiles to refresh and it was transformed!

We’ve had some new followers recently so wanted to say hello.. 👋🏼😊
We’re Heather & Sally, professional organisers and founders of The Calm Home Company.

✨ We set up 4.5 years ago to help other families calm the chaos in their homes and reduce overwhelm🌪️😅

✨ As busy mums ourselves we understand how quickly clutter can build up! 🙈 But we know the best ways to get on top of it and maintain order in the long run. 🙌🏼
✨ Heather runs the business and is lead organiser on client projects. She is a former actress and loves skiing, Pilates, hosting and labelling everything! 🎿🥂🏷️

✨ Sally is co-organiser and lead stylist. She is brilliant at shelf styling and often creates beautiful moodboards for clients who want help with furnishings. Also a plant scientist and former mixologist. She is a calm ray of sunshine! 🌿🍸☀️

✨ Esme joined the team last year and is an experienced organiser, specialising in the Marie Kondo method. She has her own local business and we love collaborating with her whenever we can! 🗂️💛

✨ As well as organising in client’s homes we are also presenters on The Ideal Home Show channels and you can watch videos of our decluttering & organising tips there 🎬

✨ We are passionate about the positive effects of decluttering and are proud members of APDO (the Association of Professional Declutters & Organisers).

Want to feel more organised this Autumn? 🍂 These 5 Steps will Save you Time and keep your home calm.. ⏰✨

1️⃣ Remove summer clothes & store away. You only want to see clothes that you can actually wear and the seasonal swap creates a lot of space 🍂

2️⃣ Bring out your Winter accessories and store so they’re easy to grab 🧣🧤

3️⃣ Have a good edit of your children’s toys and clothes. Removing anything outgrown. 💡Donate, store for next child or recycle ♻️

4️⃣ Set up a study space so children can get on with homework and feel productive with everything they need around them 📚

5️⃣ Manage the flurry of incoming paperwork with folders & trays so you can find letters or important documents 📑
