🌸☕ Springtime Cuppa at Lyle House Care Home ☕🌸

We had a wonderful time at our monthly Coffee Morning here at Lyle House, and this month’s theme was Springtime Cuppa! 🌼

Residents, families, and local professionals came together to enjoy a lovely morning filled with delicious coffee, great conversation, and plenty of smiles. Our guests also put their knowledge to the test with a fun spring themed quiz, which brought lots of laughter and friendly competition.

A big well done to Team Dot who came out on top and took first place in the quiz! 🏆👏

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. We always love seeing our community come together and sharing these moments with one another. 💛

We were delighted to welcome some very special visitors recently, the wonderful children from Monkey Puzzle East Sheen. 💛

Our residents had a fantastic time taking part in activities together, sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of smiles. The room was filled with joy as different generations connected, chatted, and created some lovely moments together.

These visits mean so much to our residents and it’s always heartwarming to see the friendships that grow between young and old. Thank you to the children and team from Monkey Puzzle East Sheen for bringing such energy and happiness to Lyle House, we can’t wait to see you again soon! 🌟

We had a wonderful time at the Sparkle Project held at Roehampton Church! ✨

Residents joined the local school children for a lovely intergenerational session filled with smiles, laughter and great company. Together we enjoyed gentle chair exercises, fun activities, and a delicious lunch, all set within the beautiful surroundings of the church.

It’s always so special to see different generations come together, sharing stories, energy and joy. These moments truly brighten everyone’s day. 💛

We’re already looking forward to returning for more Sparkle sessions! ✨️💜

💇‍♀️✨ Pamper Day at Lyle House ✨💇‍♀️

There was a lovely buzz in our Hair Salon as our ladies enjoyed a well deserved pamper session with our wonderful hairdresser, Sharon! From fresh trims to beautiful blow dries, Sharon had everyone feeling relaxed, refreshed, and fabulous.

A visit to the salon is always such a special treat, time to unwind, have a chat, and enjoy a little extra TLC. There were smiles all around, and we think everyone looked absolutely amazing! 💕

A big thank you to Sharon for helping our ladies feel their very best. 🌸

What a wonderful day of music and movement here at Lyle House Care Home! 🎶✨

Our residents had a fantastic time exploring a variety of instruments, including tambourines, triangle, xylophone and wind chimes, filling the home with beautiful sounds, rhythm and laughter. There was plenty of toe tapping, hand clapping, and even a little dancing with our amazing team! 💃🕺

Music has such a special way of bringing people together, lifting spirits, and creating joyful moments and today was full of smiles from start to finish.

Well done to everyone who joined in and made it such a lively, feel good session! We can’t wait for the next one! 🎵❤️

Every Wednesday, our children head out into the community to visit our friends at Lyle House Care Home 💛

Together they share stories, create arts and crafts, sing, laugh, and spend time learning from one another through our intergenerational visits.

Last week’s theme was love and kindness, with a lovely colouring session that sparked conversations, smiles and meaningful moments across the generations.

We’re so proud of these special visits that help children build empathy, confidence and connections beyond the nursery walls ✨

🎉🎂 A Special Birthday Treat for Hazel! 🎂🎉

Our wonderful Wellbeing Coordinator, Billy, had the pleasure of taking Hazel out for a special birthday trip to the local shopping centre, and what a lovely time they had!

Hazel enjoyed browsing the shops and chose a beautiful new blouse to wear for her birthday celebrations. Of course, no birthday outing would be complete without picking up a few treats too! 🛍️✨

It was such a joy to see Hazel smiling and making the most of her special day. At Lyle House, we love creating meaningful moments and helping our residents celebrate in ways that are personal to them.

💖 Valentine’s Afternoon Tea 💖

Love was truly in the air at Lyle House Care Home as we celebrated Valentine’s Day with a delightful afternoon tea! 🌹✨

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful selection of sweet treats, freshly prepared sandwiches, and, of course, plenty of tea, all shared in great company. The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and heartwarming moments as friendships were celebrated and memories were made. 💕

We also took the opportunity to celebrate some very special resident birthdays, making the afternoon even more joyful with cake, candles, and lots of smiles! 🎂🎉

A big thank you to our fantastic team for creating such a beautiful atmosphere, complete with lovely decorations and thoughtful touches that made the day extra special. ❤️

Here’s to celebrating love, friendship, and togetherness, not just on Valentine’s Day, but every day at Lyle House Care Home. 💐

🚍 Out and about learning! 🧠✨

Our amazing team at Lyle House Care Home took part in the Virtual Dementia Tour with Training2Care!

This immersive experience helps our staff gain a deeper understanding of what it can be like to live with dementia, building greater empathy, awareness, and practical skills to support our residents every day. 💙

We’re incredibly proud of our team for their commitment to learning and for always striving to provide the highest standard of care. A big thank you to Training2Care for such a powerful and eye opening experience! 👏

💗 Love & Kindness at Lyle House 💗

Yesterday we held our first coffee morning, and what a lovely morning it was! With Love & Kindness as our theme, the room was filled with smiles, laughter and great company.

Residents, families and professionals joined us to enjoy delicious cakes and pastries, while the tea and coffee flowed throughout ☕️🍰 Everyone also took part in a fun Valentine’s themed quiz, a big well done to Team Monochrome for taking home the win! 🏆
