If you have a thin upper lip or show gums when you smile, lip fillers can perfectly enhance your lips to perfect your smile.

Lip fillers can be used to conceal your gummy smile. By plumping up your upper lips and lessening the amount of gum that shows by injecting filler into them. This is achieved by increasing the volume of the top lip, which conceals the gummy smile.

Some scientists believe that we perceive proportional bodies to be healthier.

Likewise, if a face is in proportion, we are more likely to find it beautiful. Others think that we tend to perceive a face more aesthetically appealing when it features the Golden Ratio because the human eye can process it faster and that causes our brain to feel ‘pleased’.

Whilst of course every face is unique and beautiful in its own right, I completely understand wanting to treat these issues if possible.

The most common treatment areas to correct asymmetry are the cheeks, chin and nose. You’d be amazed what a little bit of filler can do in achieving a more symmetrical look.

After your treatment, you will experience some swelling and potentially some bruising but do not panic as this is completely expected.

The best results of dermal fillers are seen typically 1 to 2 weeks post treatment with some of the swelling and bruising dissipating by then. It could take up to 4 weeks for everything to completely settle down, at which point you will notice the results you're expecting.

How long fillers last of course depends on you, the type of filler and the area of treatment.

Published studies (and my own experience) have shown me that fillers last much longer than the inital 6-9 months we were taught by the pharmaceutical companies. MRI studies have shown hyaluronic acid fillers lasting for over 15 years, whereas some patients results retain for around 6 months. We can never guarantee a time frame as it is simply so individual to each person.

What I do know from my 8 years of practice, is that filler longevity improves with each additional treatment. For example, if i treat a nose the patient will return to retreat usually after around 9-12 months. After 2 treatments, patients don’t tend to return for 2-3 years as the results retain beautifully.

How long do your filler treatments tend to last?

Because simply put, it’s not in your best interests.

It may be due to medications you are on, or health conditions that you have. It could be due to poorly placed existing filler, or simply down to the fact that anatomically you just aren’t a candidate for what you are seeking.

Whoever I inject is essentially a walking billboard for my services, I like to ensure each and every one of my clients leaves looking & feeling incredible and natural. If you want a facetuned looking profile, there are plenty that can offer this but it goes against all that I work so hard to uphold.
