Did you know that the preferences of tea drinkers are evolving? According to the research conducted by us, 55% of Brits now prefer herbal or other leaf-based blends, such as green tea or Rooibos, over traditional English Breakfast tea. 🇬🇧🍵 It seems that Brits are embracing a diverse range of teas for both health and happiness.
Interestingly, a significant portion of the population (27%) drinks tea purely for wellness, while 87% enjoy tea as a source of comfort and relaxation. 🌿😌 This highlights the growing awareness of the health benefits associated with tea consumption.
Not only are we enjoying a variety of teas but also over a quarter of Brits (27%) are consuming six to ten cups of tea a day, which is equivalent to roughly one brew per hour during the average working day! ☕️ This demonstrates the enduring love for tea as a beverage of choice throughout the day.
When it comes to enjoying tea with food, we found that over 90% of Brits prefer to pair their tea with a biscuit, cake, or sandwich. The combination of tea and treats is a cherished tradition for many tea lovers, adding to the overall experience of indulging in a cup of tea.
