January didn’t start with a bang for me.
After the hangover of December – the intensity, the expectations, the constant doing – my nervous system needed some space.
In the past, I’ve felt pressure to hit January hard.
New goals. New routines. Big energy. Full throttle.
But this year, I’m choosing something different.
I’m choosing gentle, aligned action instead of force.
Consistency over intensity. Listening to my body over proving I can push through!
Rather than asking “What should I be doing right now?”
I’m asking myself better questions which might help you too…
👉 What would need to happen by the end of 2026 for me to look back and genuinely think, “Damn… that was a great year”?
👉 And to avoid burnout, what do I need to put down… so I actually have the capacity to pick up a new habit or goal?
These questions are grounding me far more than any rigid January plan ever has.
If you’re feeling behind, flat, or resistant to the usual “new year, new you” noise you’re not struggling or broken. You might just be listening to what your body and mind actually need.
You don’t need to rush this season.
You need to align with it.
If you’re craving a calmer, more sustainable way to feel energised, focused, and avoiding burnout this year, this is exactly the work I support people with at Hope Health.
