We are very pleased to announce that we have been supported by Sport England through their Open Call for Innovative Solutions. The open call was designed to find innovative solutions that were tackling the inequalities being exacerbated by the pandemic and looked to support the communities and people affected most to stay physically active.

With their support we will be developing aspects of our musculoskeletal health content and technology in order to improve our reach to those who are limited in their access to digital channels. We will therefore assist in addressing Sport England’s ‘digital exclusion’ challenge.

As a company this helps us achieve our overarching vision - to empower people with the knowledge and tools to take care of their musculoskeletal health and encourage them to lead more active lives.

We are already working with the NHS, insurance, and corporate wellbeing sectors, and now working with Sport England will expand our reach to almost everyone within the UK.

We are pleased to announce that we are now in partnership with WW (formerly Weight Watchers)

Being overweight or obese can significantly increase the risk of bone, joint and muscle injury or pain.

For example the risk of developing knee osteoarthritis may be up to 6 times greater on those who are obese.

With exercise being a key component to weight loss it is important to make sure people remain pain-free. TrackActive Me is the leading digital self care application for people to manage and prevent injuries and conditions in their own home.

Through our partnership, myWW members will be able use their points to gain free access to TrackActive Me for a limited time.

We’ve just introduced a brand new feature on TrackActive Me - physical activity tracking!

TrackActive Me is a physical wellbeing app with a particular focus on helping people to prevent and manage joint, bone and muscle conditions. Keeping physically active is important not only for overall physical and mental health, but is a key recommendation in the recovery from many conditions such as low back pain.

Therefore everyone should aim to reach the recommended National and World Health Organization (WHO) physical activity guidelines of 150 minutes of aerobic exercise and 2 strength sessions per week.

TrackActive Me now provides a physical activity diary, where users can track the amount of aerobic and strengthening exercise they complete each week and see if they hit or exceed the recommended benchmark!

The physical health among employees now working from home is declining, with over half reporting new symptoms, especially in the neck, shoulder and back. This is based on findings from the Institute for Employment Studies (IES).

Due to this the University of East Anglia (UEA) is running a study into the lockdown impact on bone, joint and muscle pain. If you are wanting to be part of the study find further details below.

Researchers in Norwich are launching a new study to see how coronavirus and lockdown are affecting people with bone, joint and muscle pain.

Did you know that musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions such as back pain can have a significant impact on mental health? Those living with chronic MSK conditions may be more susceptible to anxiety and depression.

We all see a large number of mental health and mindfulness solutions for companies to assist their employees with stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.

However, we don’t see many companies tackling MSK conditions even though it is a leading cause of sickness absence.

That is why we created a dedicated product, TrackActive Me, for companies to provide to their employees to help prevent MSK conditions from occurring. For those with existing MSK conditions they can be assessed via a chatbot and self-manage to recovery.

Low back pain is the leading cause of years lived with a disability worldwide. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) says ‘self-management’ and ‘exercise’ are the recommended non-invasive interventions for low back pain.

TrackActive Me, ‘Your Virtual Physio’ is a digital application that allows people to self-assess their back pain and get the right information and exercises to help them with their recovery. Our low back assessment has also undergone a stringent 3rd party clinical governance procedure to ensure safety and refer people to health practitioners if they require further assessments or investigations.

In most cases, people will be able to manage their recovery without needing to see a health professional. TrackActive Me provides the exercises, advice and education to help them on their way to recovery.

Low back pain is a common condition. In almost all cases, you will recover with right advice and exercises. It is also important to stay active.
