Tutors Required – Kent Areas

We are seeking experienced tutors in Dartford, Gravesend, Maidstone, Chatham and surrounding Kent areas for 10–15 hour contracts.

Subjects:
GCSE – English, Maths, Science, History, Sociology and more
Primary – KS2, 11+ and Kent Test preparation

Experience supporting SEN students (ASD, ADHD, anxiety, EBSA etc.) is highly desirable.

Strong subject knowledge, professionalism, and a DBS (or willingness to obtain) required.

🌟 11+ Tutor Opportunities – Dartford Area FACE TO FACE🌟

We are currently looking for tutors interested in supporting students preparing for the Kent Test in the Dartford area. This is a great opportunity for tutors experienced in 11+ preparation who are confident delivering structured, focused sessions.

📚 Teaching Focus
Preparation centres around the four Kent Test domains:

Maths

English

Verbal Reasoning

Non-Verbal Reasoning

Practice papers (including Bond books and free online papers) are the main approach.
Students are usually working under timed conditions, with work stopping when time ends.

✏️ Typical Subject Expectations
Maths: Support method confidence, encourage checking work, and review errors without giving direct answers.
English: Spelling, creative writing, vocabulary and punctuation are common focus areas alongside 11+ papers.
Non-Verbal Reasoning: Generally maintenance practice to keep skills sharp.
Verbal Reasoning: Practice papers, method reminders, and guided support where required.

📝 Homework Expectations

Homework set weekly (often Mondays)

Work across all Kent Test areas plus spellings

Approx. 2 hours total per week (depending on student needs)

Homework should be tailored to areas requiring further practice

Confident managing timed practice papers

Able to build student confidence while maintaining clear academic expectations
