Coming to the end of a busy week, it was really nice to spend some time meeting new businesses and hearing about the different journeys that have brought people to where they are today.

Last night’s joint networking event in Gravesend brought together Stepping Out and FSB Connect – Federation of Small Businesses, creating a great space for local businesses to come together, share experiences and build new connections.

A big thank you to Sian Murphy and Mikhail for organising such a lovely evening. Events like this are a great reminder that behind every business there is a story — often one of resilience, courage and determination.

It also reinforces something I’m reminded of often: businesses rarely grow in isolation. They grow through conversation, collaboration and the connections we build along the way.

What an amazing evening at the are beans and the amazing Aisha Ba for organising the charity networking event yesterday! 💜

It was fantastic to connect with so many inspiring local businesses and individuals who are passionate about supporting children and families in our community. The event was not only a brilliant opportunity to network, but also a reminder of the incredible work that We Are Beams does every day.

This wonderful charity supports disabled and SEND children and their families, many of whom face challenges accessing school or traditional educational environments. The support, opportunities and community they provide truly make a life-changing difference.

At Tutor Doctor, we are proud to support We Are Beams and the families they work with. Some of our tutors provide tailored one-to-one educational support to help children who are unable to access school for various reasons continue learning and build confidence.

We were also lucky enough to win one of the amazing raffle prizes – a fantastic hamper filled with lots of wonderful goodies! 🎁 Thank you so much to the organisers and businesses who donated the prizes.

Thank you to the Beams team for hosting such a welcoming and inspiring event — and for the delicious cupcake too! 🧁 We’re looking forward to continuing to support the fantastic work you do.

✨ What a fantastic Ladies Who Latte Ebbsfleet networking morning today! ✨

It was an absolute pleasure to host while Michele was away, and I was blown away by the turnout — around 20 amazing women in business came together to connect, share ideas and support one another. 🤩

I loved the energy in the room and hearing about everyone’s businesses, goals and the exciting collaborations already starting to form.

A big thank you to Sam for sharing some great social media ideas, and also to The Blue Bean Coffee Co. for kindly allowing us to host our networking meeting there today. ☕
