🐾 Puppy Love at Ivy Grove! 🐶

Our residents had the most wonderful afternoon with a special visit from Performing Pets and their adorable puppies! 💕

There were cuddles, wagging tails, and lots of smiles as everyone enjoyed spending time with our furry visitors. These moments bring so much joy, comfort, and laughter to our home. It’s amazing what a little puppy love can do! 🥰

🍽️ Sunday Roast Outing at Toby Carvery! 🍰

Our Ivy Grove residents enjoyed their weekly trip to Toby Carvery a wonderful afternoon filled with good company, and of course, a hearty roast dinner followed by a delicious pudding!

These outings are such a highlight for everyone, giving our residents the chance to relax, share stories, and enjoy a lovely meal together. It’s safe to say there were plenty of clean plates 😊

🕊️ Remembrance Day at Ivy Grove 🕊️

This week we come together to honour and remember all those who gave their lives in service for our freedom. Their courage, sacrifice, and love for their country will never be forgotten.

Our residents have created beautiful poppy artwork, now proudly displayed in our Garden Lounge, as a heartfelt tribute to those we have lost. 🌺

We were also delighted to welcome the wonderful D-Day Dollies, who filled the home with wartime songs and memories, a touching reminder of the strength and spirit of that generation. 🎶

Thank you to everyone who joined us in remembrance.
We will remember them. ❤️

Fantastic trip out for the residents of Ivy Grove! They enjoyed a lovely time at Ridgeway Park, and the highlight was certainly meeting some adorable furry friends along the way. A great day of fresh air and smiles for everyone! 🌳🐶

We had a special visit from Performing Pets, bringing a wonderful bunch of furry and feathered friends right to our doorstep! 🐔🐢🐑🐐🐖🐰 The residents were absolutely thrilled to meet and cuddle chickens, tortoises, lambs, goats, pigs, and bunnies. The joy and smiles were contagious as everyone enjoyed this unique farm experience.

Moments like these remind us how powerful the connection with animals can be, bringing comfort, happiness, and a bit of countryside magic right here at Ivy Grove. 🧡🐾 Thank you Performing Pets

A massive thank you to the wonderful 23rd Chingford Scout Group ! 🤝​The Scouts visited Ivy Grove Care Home this week and teamed up with our residents to create dozens of colourful pom-poms for our upcoming Repairs Day project. It was a fantastic evening of teamwork, laughter, and intergenerational fun.
​These beautiful pom-poms will be a vibrant feature on our dementia floor, and we can't wait to see the final display!

An Owl-standing Visit! 🦉

​We had a magnificent two-year-old visitor at Ivy Grove Care Home today: Bonzo the Barn Owl!
​Bonzo was an absolute star, bringing so much wonder and joy to all of our residents. It was a truly memorable and peaceful experience for everyone.
​A huge thank you to Performing Pets for bringing this beautiful bird to meet us!

​The spectacular Performing Pets Budgies stopped by Ivy Grove, and they were incredible! What a treat to watch these smart, colorful birds perform their tricks. Everyone had a grand time!
