Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a form of psychological treatment that has been effective in treating mood disorders, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. CBT allows clients to identify maladaptive patterns of emotional responses, thoughts, and behaviors and replace them with realistic and practical approaches. In CBT, clients are often taught ‘solution-focused’ skills that can be used in real-life settings to cope with difficult situations. It also teaches CBT techniques like cognitive reframing, gradual exposure therapy, and mindful journaling to practice at home or in sessions.

Eating Disorders Awareness Week is an international awareness event, fighting the myths and misunderstandings that surround anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and EDNOS.

Eating disorders are devastating mental illnesses that affect 1 in 50 people in the UK.

Recovery is possible, but we rely on our GPs to spot early warning signs that may have nothing to do with a person’s weight or appearance.
