Calling all runners! 🏃🏽👟🥇
Every mile you run can make a real difference.
By taking on the Great North Run for MHA, you’ll help support services that tackle loneliness and help older people stay connected to their communities.
13.1 miles. One incredible atmosphere. A meaningful cause.
We’re proud to be part of MHA, which has once again been recognised as one of the Top 20 Large Care Home Groups in the UK by carehome.co.uk – for the ninth year in a row!
This recognition is based on feedback from residents and their families, which makes it especially meaningful.
A big well done to colleagues across MHA for the kindness, dedication and care they show every day. We’re proud to be part of it. 💛

🍀 We're absolutely thrilled to share that our exceptional Home Manager, Anne, has been nominated for Care Home Manager of the Year at the prestigious National Care Home Awards, taking place on 7th November!
Anne’s leadership is the heart of Riverview Lodge. Her compassion, vision, and unwavering support for both residents and staff make her truly one of a kind. Last month, Anne was honoured with the Inspiring Leader of the Year Award at the MHA OSCARs—a well-deserved recognition of her incredible impact.
Let’s not forget that Riverview Lodge also proudly took home the Team of the Year Award, and our very own Activities Coordinator, Aly, was named Care Home Person of the Year. These accolades are a testament to the love, dedication, and excellence that define our home. Anne, we are all rooting for you and wish you the very best of luck at the upcoming awards. You’ve already made us so proud!
Remember to submit your Friends & Family survey this week - the closing date is 7 November.
Please visit www.ibyd.com/mha or ask the Home Manager for a paper copy.

Riverview Lodge was acquired by MHA in December 2007. The care home is situated in a quiet residential area off Blackbird Hill in Kingsbury.
There is a beautiful shared garden that overlooks a stream and adjacent church land, and ample parking space is available in the car park and adjoining cul-de-sac.
The home is built on three floors, which are served by a lift. Each floor has its own lounge and dining area. There is a range of specialist baths and showers on each floor to offer comfort and privacy when bathing, and there is also a hairdressing room.
Well-equipped offices, kitchen and laundry facilities aid an efficient staff team, and all laundry is done on the premises. Television, including cable, is accessible in each room as well as in the lounge where television and stereo systems are provided.
A staff member says: “Riverview is a special place and has that wonderful homely feel to it. Residents come to Riverview and remain happy and content. They feel needed and heard, and those who may have once felt lost in the ancient system of old age and forgetfulness are now enriched and cherished throughout their days. Riverview has wonderful staff, and a happy loving atmosphere, a pleasure to be part of.”
