Bollywood dance Fun!
It was lovely to see our residents enjoying a lively form of Indian dance using colorful scarfs and wooden sticks! Everyone joined in with enthusiasm - trying out the step, waving their hand to the rhythm.

We had a busy week at The Meadowcroft, with Luna new year, pancake day and our first visit from Poppy The PAT dog and her human companion Christian.

Luna New Year
We kicked of with some facts about China followed by looking up our Chinese horoscope and finished with trying, or should that be tying our hand, at using chop sticks. Everyone did really well using the chopstick as for many it was their first time!

Shrove Tuesday/pancake day
We went flipping mad for our pancakes. The residents having flip the pancake races and ending with deciding what they would like in them. This was a great session for reminiscing, physical activity, socialising and a cooking session all in one!

Poppy was the most anticipated and welcomed visitor to the home this week. She brought so much joy to the residents, particularly those who are less able to leave their rooms. Poppy certainly wasn't short of stokes cuddles and even some treats.

We had the pleasure this week of having the talented Miranthis family play for the residents.
There was a superb mix of classical and popular music.
The residents were all totally enthralled by the family of one of our residents.
The most asked question, after the concert, was how do you travel around with the harp?
We would like to say a huge thank you to the family for their time and wonderful recital.

Valentine's Day Celebration ❤️
Yesterday, we filled the home with love, laughter, and music as we celebrated Valentine's Day together! Everyone had a wonderful time and delicious food .

Yesterday we celebrated the Big Warm up as part of the Warmth of care campaign.
Many resident, staff and visitors took part and joined us for a proper afternoon tea.
The afternoon was spent chatting to new and old friends alike and discussions ranged from favourite teas to the coldest winter you can remember and best ways to keep warm, with longjohns and cuddles being the most popular!

Can you believe we are half way through January already?
We started the month off with visits from The Rah Rah Theatre company and the King of rock and roll, Elvis.

We started this week off by keeping up our New Years resolution of keeping fit and promptly ruined it by sampling our home made ice cream! this was made with out the use of a machine or freezer.🍨😋
The Meadowcroft then welcomed St Mary Magdalene Church Wandsworth common for their first communion service of the year.
All are welcome to join these service which are held once a month, please speak to the activity Team for more details.
