Putting yourself first means being as kind and helpful to yourself as to others. It means taking care of yourself, investing as much time and energy in yourself as in others. As a result, you can be more productive, organised, happy and a better and more collected person.
It means, just loving yourself a little more and that is not only necessary, it is essential.

It is not the event, but the beliefs you hold about the event that is at the heart of emotional states. Emotions, thoughts and behaviours can be healthy and functional or unhealthy and dysfunctional.

You can get better on a long run by changing your unhealthy beliefs to their healthy counterparts. It is achievable with professional help in a relatively short time. It does not take years of therapy but a few well tailored and structured CBT sessions.

It feels uncomfortable at first, which is completely natural as emotional change takes time.

Understanding your problem does not create emotional change. If you read a book on driving a car and understanding that does not transform you into a competent driver. You need to apply what you learned and put it into practice, accepting it will feel uncomfortable and very challenging at first and you’ll make mistakes. By being determined and persistent you will begin to feel comfortable with the changes.

I’ve been practicing hypnosis at my practise, alongside with many other therapeutic tools, for over a decade. It is very useful and effective for symptom management.
