The Salt Cave

The Salt Cave Natural therapy for Asthma, Sinusitis, Hay-fever, COPD, Bronchitis, Bronchiectasis, Cystic Fibrosis, etc. Located in Earlsfield, South West London.

Salt Therapy is a low-risk treatment, drug-free and 100% natural. Suitable for all age groups suffering from Asthma, Bronchitis, COPD, Sinusitis, Hayfever, Colds, Coughs, Eczema & Psoriasis. The Salt Cave brings the story into the modern day. After becoming passionate about the efficacy of Salt Therapy, founder Denes Gal began a journey of consultation with scientists and doctors to develop Breeze Tronic Pro, the most sophisticated technology for replicating a salt cave. Strategic sensors are just one of the ways the salt levels in the atmosphere are continually monitored in our treatment rooms. Breeze Tronic Pro is far superior to cheaper options, which are ineffective and potentially harmful.

Ear infections are common in babies and small children. A child may pull or rub at an ear, but babies can’t always tell where pain is coming from and may just cry and seem uncomfortable. Ear infections are usually divided into those which occur in the ear canal (otitis externa) and those which occur in the small space behind the eardrum (the middle ear).

The middle ear space sometimes becomes filled with mucus (fluid), often during a cold. The mucus may then become infected by germs (bacteria or viruses). Children with glue ear who have mucus behind their eardrum are more prone to ear infections.

A chronic ear infection may be more destructive than an acute ear infection because its effects are prolonged or repeated, and it may cause permanent damage to the ear. However, a chronic long-term infection may show less severe symptoms - so the infection may remain unnoticed and untreated for a long time.

HOW THE SALT CAVE CAN HELP?

Our mission is to help your children and focus on the source of the problem rather than just suppressing the symptoms.

We meet with worried parents who have tried several things to bring relief to their child. Every child and every case is different, but unfortunately the end of the story is usually the same: 'the doctor put my child on medication' or ‘my child needs to have an operation

So the choice is yours. You can avoid surgery with a natural method of healing.

To get a better understanding of how the salt can help with ear infection, first of all we need to talk about what kind of properties the salt has.

* It kills bacteria (the salt dries out all the germs and bacteria)
* Anti- Inflammatory (Based on clinical studies the dry, saline diffused air reduces inflammation)
* Mucolytic effects (loosens excessive mucus, speeds the elimination of toxins)

In The Salt Caves our kind, professional and experienced staff will explain everything to you, and answer all your questions, on your first free visit.

There are over five million people with asthma in the UK. That is one in every 12 adults. Although the respiratory system is essentially in good working order, the bronchi (small tubes carrying air in and out of the lungs) become inflamed and more sensitive than usual.

When you come into contact with something that irritates your lungs, your airways narrow, the muscles around them tighten and there is an increase in the production of sticky mucus (phlegm).

SYMPTOMS OF ASTHMA

* Wheezing (high-pitched whistling sounds when breathing out)
* Cough, worse particularly at night
* Difficulty in breathing
* Chest tightness

How the Salt Cave can help

For those suffering from asthma, Salt Therapy can not only bring much-needed relief, but also prevent the frequent recurrence of your symptoms. If left untreated, the chronic inflammation caused by asthma can lead to the lungs becoming irreversibly obstructed. Prescription drugs and inhalers may bring immediate relief, but Salt Therapy has a far more lasting effect as many, many visitors to The Salt Cave have testified.
Prescription drugs such as inhalers are a short-term fix, leaving the underlying problem unchanged once an attack has passed.

Salt Therapy is different because:

Salt kills bacteria
It widens the airways by reducing inflammation
It is mucolytic, which means it helps to shift retained mucus and therefore reduce the chance of infection
It reduces IgE levels, which means the immune system won’t over-react to asthma/allergy triggers

How often should you come?
Depending on age 10-30 sessions are recommended for long term results.
The sessions should be frequent; about two or three a week is suggested.

Our recent testimonial:

The Earlsfield Salt Cave has literally changed my life! I have suffered from acute sinusitis for over 15 years. I have had two surgeries and loads of medication but nothing really worked and I was getting progressively worse flare ups. I was not sleeping well and really concerned about how bad things were getting. I read about salt therapy and decided to give it a go. I am now half way through the recommended 20 session intensive treatment and I can’t believe the improvement, much less horrible mucus production, no coughing, clearer sinuses and sleeping through the night. I get better with each session. It’s been a true lifesaver and I can’t recommend Earlsfield Salt Cave more highly. Lauri

In most people, sinusitis develops after a cold or flu-like illness.

When the lining of the sinuses is swollen, the swelling interferes with the normal flow of mucus. Trapped mucus can then fill the sinuses, causing an uncomfortable sensation of pressure and providing an excellent environment for the growth of infection-causing bacteria.

Acute sinusitis means that the infection develops quickly (over a few days) and lasts a short time. Many cases of acute sinusitis last a week or so, but it is not unusual for it to last 2-3 weeks (that is, longer than most colds).

Symptoms of sinusitis:

* A blocked or runny nose. If your nose produces green or yellow mucus, you probably have a bacterial infection.
* Pain and tenderness in the face (near the infected sinuses). You may experience a throbbing pain that is worse when you move your head, and toothache or pain in your jaw when you eat.
* A high temperature.

Other possible symptoms include:

* tiredness
* a sinus headache
* a cough
* bad breath (halitosis)
* pressure in your ears
* loss of taste and smell

How salt can help:

It kills bacteria
It has mucolytic effects, meaning it helps to shift retained mucus and reduce the chance of infection
It is anti-inflammatory
It reduces IgE levels, meaning the immune system becomes less oversensitive
