When a woman gives her body to being a mum she gives the gift of life. What an amazing and beautiful gift to give.

Having the right support through the journey is so important and practicing yoga at this time helps to make space in the body, bringing support for the physical, hormonal and emotional changes. Helping mum and baby stay healthy through the journey.

We’d love to welcome you to practice with us.

We’re looking forward to welcoming new teacher Frederica Panichi who will be teaching a new class on Mondays 12.15-13.15.

Freddie is an experienced teacher, regularly teaching classes in London since 2007. She is a passionately curious individual, influenced and inspired by diverse styles of yoga, philosophies and movement modalities.

Freddie's teaching style integrates elements of applied anatomy and movement science into a steady yet unrushed flow of breath-initiated poses, which help developing mobility and, in time, can make the body flexible and strong. In particular,

Freddie encourages her students to be mindful through quality of movement and attention to the breath, guiding them towards an enhanced feeling of wellbeing and a clearer sense of self.

Freddie holds a 500+hr diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga, is a qualified assessor of trainee teachers and a 60h Foundation Course tutor. She is also a Yoga Alliance Professionals accredited Senior Yoga Teacher.

Sunday afternoon workshop with Norman Blair

Slowing, Grounding, Softening
17th October 14.30-17.30

We’re happy to be welcoming Norman for a series of Yin workshops through the Autumn.

The Autumn is a key time for us to be slowing down and these three-hour Yin yoga workshops are wonderful opportunities to take this time; to slow down; to get closer to the ground and thus hopefully see more of within and feel more stable equanimity. Yin yoga postures are held for several minutes and are predominantly floor-based. All practitioners are welcome.

Norman Blair has been practicing yoga since the early 1990s; he started teaching yoga in 2001 and is one of the most experienced Yin yoga teachers in the UK. He first taught the three-hour Yin yoga workshop in February 2003 and he has been running Yin yoga teacher trainings since 2013.

In 2016 his book - Brightening Our Inner Skies: yin and yoga - was published. The excerpt below captures the essence of the yin practice.

“By becoming more balanced, by shifting towards the energies of yin - accepting, easing, relaxing, softening - we might be more able to see more clearly…As we ground, as we breathe, as we release, as we stay, as we study - perhaps there could be a lessening of frustrations, materialism and fanaticism; perhaps there could be a growing gratitudes, a demising of defensiveness, a growing of receptivity - becoming brighter inside. Instead of tight and tense shoulders, there could be soft and relaxing faces” Norman Blair

Booking is via the website and we would love to welcome you

“Life is a balance of holding on and letting go” - Rumi

This past year has changed what we knew as living so much and as we move to being with others more fully again keeping a balance will be key to giving support as we move through the changes.

We are in the process of changing the schedule, so we have the right balance of classes through the summer. If you could make the time to fill out the survey it would be amazing to have your feedback so we can offer what you need and at
the right time. (See link in bio)

Join our new Saturday morning class - Vinyasa with Daniella, 945 - 11am

This class combines a flowing style of 'movement with breath’, with a creative series of postures, which includes attention to alignment of the body & awareness of breath.

Movement has always been an important part of Daniella’s life, having trained in classical and contemporary dance.

Her classes are dynamic and playful with a focus on building strength but also finding those important moments of surrender and stillness.

Experience the gift of yoga. In celebration of International Yoga Day we are inviting you to bring a friend for free to any of our yoga classes from 21-27 June.

Yoga - Why Practice?

Yoga strengthens and tones the body, improving the flow of energy. It helps to regulate and calm the body, breath, and mind. The practice balances the nervous system and helps to restore energy and our overall sense of “Wellbeing”.

Regular practice over time starts to cleanse the whole system, working on all parts of us: physical, vital, mental, emotional, psychic and spiritual.

Come and try a class with some of our wonderful teachers in a spacious and tranquil oasis in the heart of East London.

"Yoga is not an ancient myth buried in oblivion. It is the most valuable inheritance of the present. An essential need of today, and the culture of tomorrow.”
- Swami Satyananda Saraswati

Beginners' Yoga Course | 22 June - 13 July | 5:45 pm - 7:00 pm

Are you feeling tight and imbalanced after a challenging year? We tend to hold tension in our muscles when we're stressed and busy, but a regular yoga practice can help release this.

Join Sarah's course to learn to connect to your body and breath and learn how to move with more skill, ease and awareness, thereby helping to release tension from the body, improve flexibility and also build more strength.

Over the four weeks you will learn all of the essentials that you need to begin your yoga journey, instilling you with the groundwork and confidence to attend regular classes or begin a home-practice.

Sarah's main aim when teaching is to help people of all abilities to develop & improve their practice in a safe & careful manner.

Thank you to Anthony for his words about the Yin class last week. We are so happy he had this experience, especially as he is relatively new to Yoga.

Anthony is a wonderful chocolatier... Please support him in trying his chocolates and baked treats. The perfect Fathers day gift.

The summer months can be hard for chocolate sales so extra support is welcomed.

Repost from Anthony:

“I absolutely have to share this..
Yesterday, I experienced the most wondrous bit of self-love.

I went to in Dalston for only my second Yoga class in the last decade. Yes, I did a bit of ‘Hot’ sweaty, Bikram yoga in San Francisco prior to the move to London. But this was restorative Yin yoga.

I’m sure many of you do this regularly. But I never really ‘got’ yoga. Working out, running, fitness, sport..yes. But yoga eluded me.

Until now…now, I know I NEED yoga. I’ve needed yoga.

Hand-crafting chocolates is physically demanding. I stand, day after day. For nearly 2 decades.

So, the slow stretching and deep breathing was very healing. I felt deep tightness start to release in all parts of my body…neck, back, shoulders, elbows, feet..etc.

The instructor, Ms. Letitica Lopez was wonderful. Calming and reassuring with each pose and change in movement. She spent time with each of us and helped me get deeper into each pose.

The large open space in the main studio also added a sense of calm that I felt during but particularly AFTER the session.
That is when I felt the most change. I felt high 😊

I left the studio floating as I walked back into the chaos of London. Felt a calm, balance and stillness that I have not felt in a LONG time. Mind was clear, and felt a layer come off my heart. A thick, protective layer that grew significantly in the last year.

All that in just ONE hour.

So, I’m going back next week.
Anyone want to join me?”
