I created Yogastickmen® in 2006 — simple, downloadable, scalable stick-figure drawings to help teachers plan and share their classes.

They were born from love — for yoga, for teaching, and for simplicity. A way to make the practice accessible to everyone, without perfection or pretence.

Over the years, these little lines travelled further than I ever imagined — appearing on cards, posters, mugs, t-shirts and lesson plans all over the world. They were copied, shared, loved, argued over and imitated (often!). But they also belonged to something bigger — an idea that yoga could be both art and awareness.

Now, they return — softer, wiser, still smiling — as
🧘‍♀️ Yogastickmen® by Patricia Ezechie | From Postures to Possibilities.

This new chapter isn’t about poses alone. It’s about what each posture teaches: balance, rest, resilience, release. It’s yoga for the mind as much as the mat — creative, thoughtful, and rooted in real life.

Each week I’ll share one drawing, one phrase, and one reflection — an invitation to move, to think, to breathe differently.

✨ Because sometimes, the simplest lines hold the deepest truths.

You don’t need to apologise for being tired.
And you certainly don’t need to earn your rest.

When your body whispers - listen, and honour what you feel
If you dont give yourself permission to pause - who will?💛

You don’t need to apologise for being tired.

You don’t need to explain your silence.

And you certainly don’t need to earn your rest.

This last couple of weeks, I’ve been quiet.
Not because anything fell apart.
But because I didn’t need to perform.
I just needed to listen.

And when I did?
My body whispered: “Stop. Just for now.”

So I did.

No pressure. No posturing. Just presence.

That, to me, is Owning Being You.
Honouring what you feel.
Even when it’s inconvenient.
Especially when it’s inconvenient.

🧡 If you’re tired too, you’re not alone.
You’re allowed to pause.
