Christmas is often a time of celebration, but it can also be a difficult time of year for so many. You may be celebrating a Christmas without someone dear to you, or perhaps a loved one is currently receiving palliative or end of life care.

We're holding a Bereavement Help Point at our CARE Building on Wednesday 24 December at 10am, for anyone who needs to reach out and feel supported at this time.

Visitors can support each other and will meet with others who share their feelings and understand what they are going through, particularly in early grief when formal services are not available generally.

For more information, visit our website: https://bit.ly/4s9PCXD

Please share this with others who maybe needing emotional support this Christmas.

"Perhaps the most telling sign of the family’s positive experience of St Christopher’s, is their desire to return regularly."

This festive season, half of UK adults will feel pressure to hide their grief. At St Christopher’s, we believe no one should face grief alone. When Matthew died, Nina and her daughter found comfort and connection at St Christopher’s through our bereavement groups and creative sessions. Their experience was so meaningful they choose to return regularly.

Christmas can be a really difficult time for those who are grieving. So we’re grateful to who highlighted this by speaking to our Head of Bereavement Fiona Walkingshaw alongside Nina, a young mum from south London whose husband died at St Christopher’s a couple of years ago. Nina spoke about the support her and her children have received and why they now love returning to the hospice.

Allen’s mum, Susan, received care from St Christopher’s last Christmas, and he knows firsthand how special the hospice is

"This place is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life," Allen says, recalling the comfort, care, and little moments of joy that meant so much to Susan and the family.

You can help create more magical moments for families this Christmas.🎄
