Twenty years after her father, Stanley, died at St Christopher’s, Sharon Blair-Leon completed Fun Walk 2025 with her son, Fabian, and enjoyed it so much she’s pledged to participate again.

Over the last few months we’ve refreshed these spaces so they feel brighter, calmer and more homely for people in our care and their family, friends and carers.

From cosy seating areas for a quiet chat, to more spacious single rooms, unique community artwork and new hoist systems that support safer, more comfortable movement. Every detail has been chosen with people in mind.

When Lorraine was referred to St Christopher’s after her Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis, she thought it meant the end. Instead, she found massages, acupuncture, gym sessions, counselling and a team who treat her as a person, not a patient.

Lorraine says: "They make you feel like you’re the only person there because they treat you as a person not a patient and let you know that you are important."💕
