“The Christmas present was mum being with us.”

Allen and his family spent Christmas Day together at St Christopher’s, sharing stories and a proper Christmas dinner in the hospice café.

It costs £15 to provide a Christmas dinner for someone staying with us.
Could you donate that today, to help make Christmas special for another family like Allen's? 🎄💛

The care offered to our community isn't just through the services and staff we provide for those at the end of life or with life-limiting conditions. Every day, 12,000 people become unpaid carers for a partner, family member or a friend, many of whom don’t see themselves as carers, often unaware of their legal rights and what they’re entitled to in terms of support and benefits.

We provide support for carers with our free workshops and online resources, and encourage you this to see how we can help you, or to share our page with those who are currently caring for a loved one: https://bit.ly/3LGpFyt

For Wendy Blenman, three of her daughters and five grandchildren, the Christmas remembering event at St Christopher’s provides not only a perfect opportunity for the whole family to come together and think about her mother, father and sister, but also captures so many of the key elements of the way in which her mum lived and died.

Join Wendy and her family at our Remembering events💫

We would like to share our gratitude for the commitment, expertise, and support from Eleanor Brown, Catherine McDonald, and Vivian Bazalgette, as they step down from their roles as Trustees at St Christopher's.

Having each completed a nine-year term of service, they have shared their most impactful memories of working with us, and we wish them the best of luck with their future endeavours.

As it's , we also want to highlight the importance of Trustees in the charity sector, as it is their skills and knowledge in governance that keep organisations like ours running at their best.

A genuine, empathetic exchange that brings together connection and support, especially during emotional moments. In health, social care, or frontline roles, you may find yourself supporting people in distress.

Whether you’re a receptionist, porter, caterer, or any health and social care professional, you may find yourself supporting patients or families in distress.

By attending the course, you will have access to a range of realistic scenarios to practise your skills in a safe and supportive environment, with personalised formative feedback to guide ongoing improvement.

We’re excited to partner with Virti to bring you an innovative learning experience using AI-powered adaptive learning.
