A big supporting WOOP WOOP for International Women's day
I am a proud Global Feminist!
Thursday night I attended “SISTERS “at the Royal Albert Hall with Annie Lennox and others in support of her charity www.thecircle.ngo a global feminist organisation, founded by Annie and other leading women, supporting women and girls confronting gender-based violence and economic inequality across the world.
Over 300 million women and girls are living in extreme poverty and 1 in 3 women face violence in their lifetime. Together, we can help create a safer and fairer world for the most marginalised and vulnerable women and girls globally.
The evening celebrated, Women, Charity, Music, Poem, Activism, Solidarity and the constant fight for equality for women across the globe.
Right now, more than ever we need to unite, build communities, practice kindness, fairness, consideration and curiosity to others especially to elevate women in the world. Our world has misogynistic men in power, who harm, abuse, demoralise, manipulate economies, enabling suffering on others, with no
accountability or personal consequences to their actions.
I am blessed and surrounded by incredibly kind, intelligent, powerful, phenomenal women, within my family and friendship circle. My amazing Mum taught me the value of caring for others, my sister for her friendship and loyalty to all those she meets, my amazing nieces for their uniqueness, self-ness and smartness, I am a global feminist and a forever ally to women especially for my nieces, I want their world to be better for them. Every day, Men, make sure you are giving the women around you, a voice, respect, equality, space and acknowledgment for their greatness.
International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate women and girls everywhere, and the divine feminine, I’m mindful of the other great feminine, Mother Earth & Mother Nature, they are deficient in the love and respect they need. It is often noted that children take their mothers for granted and indeed humanity is taking our Mother Earth for granted. We are not separate from nature, yet merely an extension of it, like all the reasons why we allow and excuse the poor treatment of women and everything else on this planet, we invest in this illusion that we are somehow separate.
