The Orthodontic National Group (ONG) is the UK’s largest organisation for Orthodontic Nurses, Orthodontic Therapists, Orthodontic Practice Managers, and Orthodontic Treatment Coordinators. 🚨 Support the Next Generation of Dental Nurses – Greater Manchester
We’re excited to be delivering the Step into Primary Care Dental Pre-Employment Programme in partnership with the University Dental Hospital of Manchester (UDHM), Greater Manchester Training Hub, and the Department for Work and Pensions.
This programme is designed to support individuals aged 16+ who are looking to start a career in dental nursing - & we’re inviting Primary Care Dental Practices across Greater Manchester to get involved.
πŸ” About the programme:
β€’ 5 weeks in total
β€’ 3 weeks of theory & practical training
β€’ 2-week placement in a dental practice
β€’ Next cohort starting May 2026
🀝 How your practice can support:
We’re looking for practices to host a learner for a 2-week placement, giving them valuable exposure to real practice environments, teamwork, and patient care.
βœ”οΈ All learners will have completed pre-placement checks
βœ”οΈ We ask practices to conduct an interview at the end of placement
βœ”οΈ No obligation to employ - just a great opportunity to meet potential future team members
