I recently learned about the truly moving story told in the documentary Little Poland in India.
During the Second World War, Maharaja Jam Saheb welcomed hundreds of Polish children, both Catholic and Jewish, into his home in India. At a time when so many doors were closing, he offered care, safety, and hope. He led with his heart, showing how one adult’s consistent, compassionate presence can change the course of a young life.
This story is a powerful reminder of the impact of care and belonging, and of the courage it takes to go against the tide.
