Perpetiel Coaching

Perpetiel Coaching Perpetiel is the angel of success and we're here to help you and your business be successful. So to get something different, you have to DO something different.

Perpetiel Ltd is a husband and wife team set-up after the birth of our first child to allow us to work more flexibly. Perpetiel is the angel of success and, although a little corny, the services we offer deliver success for you, your team or your business. Henry Ford said "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got." That’s not always easy, but that’s where a coach comes in…

A coach acts as a catalyst helping you to get from where you are now to where you want to be more easily and quicker than if you were to do it alone. Coaching is the relationship between us, the support, activities and discussions. It is not counselling or therapy, although many people find it very freeing and of course it is entirely confidential. Coaches use a varied toolkit of knowledge, experience and methods to help you achieve your goal. I will not judge or criticise.I will be your partner in success, I will question and challenge you, I will give you space to explore options and transform yourself and I will motivate and inspire you.

This weekend it is International Women's day!

The theme is 'give to gain' which highlights the power of reciprocity and support.

What are you doing this year?

On the day itself I am part of a development seasion for a local Tropic Ambassador Team with the focus on gaining the confidence to step out of your comfort zone.

Next week I'm supporting my Young Leader to run an activity at our Guide Unit.

Week after I have been invited to attend a client's IWD event with panel discussion, quiz and I'll run my wellbeing stall to offer support on things like sleep, time management, reducing worry, mindfulness, etc.

"Nothing ever feels impossible in Spring, you know"

I love this quote by L.M.Montgomery because when I read it I can feel the joy and excitement that I feel when the sun starts to shine and be warmer, when the days are longer and when there are more flowers blooming.

It is so easy to feel the same excitement and joy when you have something you want to achieve ✨

But it can fade so easily, just like the UK sun!

This is an amazing time of year to come out of your winter hibernation and work towards a goal or achieve success, something you aspire to.

Perhaps your energy fades when you actually have to do something towards your goal. Perhaps you struggle to find the time to do what you want or need to achieve. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed and don't know how to do it.

Coaching is all about helping you to achieve success.

My blend of corporate change management experience, a Psychology MSc, personal life learning and coaching qualifications means I can help you become 'unstuck' and move forward positively.

I work in 3 ways:
1. Individual coaching - A confidential space to think clearly, act decisively and follow through
2. Coaching-based workshops for businesses - Practical wellbeing skills that boost performance and prevent burnout.
3. Menopause coaching - Small, sustainable changes that rebuild confidence and energy.

How do you find time for wellbeing?

When I got asked this recently I admitted that like everyone I can find it tough. When you're juggling a business, a home, kids, friends and a Guide unit means you really have to be intentional if wellbeing is a priority.

For me, the cost of not finding the time is too great - too great to myself and the people I love. The cost doesn’t always show up immediately, it shows up over time as:
* Low energy
* Shorter patience
* Poorer decisions
* Lower creativity
* Reduced resilience
* Disrupted sleep
* Poor health

Here are some strategies I use that you could try to find time for wellbeing:
👍 set specific time for wellbeing
👍 work wellbeing into things you're already doing
👍be strict about boundaries that impact wellbeing
👍audit your energy
👍 tie wellbeing to your values & beliefs
👍 small, consistent steps are key

And here are some coaching questions to get you started:
✨ What does wellbeing mean to you?
✨ If you protected just 15 minutes each day, what would you do with it?
✨ Where in your week could you embed a wellbeing habit?
✨ How would you feel different if you found time for your wellbeing?

If you'd like to find out more please get in touch.

I don't know about you but I'm missing the winter Olympics already...

The skill, the competition and the risk-taking!

The Olympians are the best in the world, and they all have one thing in common: they don't go it alone. They have coaches helping them reach their gold medal dreams.

Many people think coaches are just for the elite, but the truth is, we all have our own versions of gold medals we're chasing – whether that's a business goal, better work-life balance, or simply feeling more like ourselves again.

I work with people who want to achieve their personal or professional aspirations while building a sense of balance and fulfillment in their lives. And as a qualified menopause coach, I specialise in supporting women do this during a time when they often feel frazzled and overwhelmed.

How do coaching hours get used?

This is a question I often get asked at a discovery call.

Most of my clients buy a programme of either 3 or 6 hours based upon their needs, it's like having a bank of time to spend with me.

Our first session can be anywhere from 1-2 hours depending upon the situation. In this session we form the foundation of our coaching relationship and the time allows us to explore thoughts, beliefs, goals and plans.

At the start of coaching we will probably meet frequently and regularly, maybe every 2 weeks for between 30 minutes and an hour. These sessions help keep your progress on track, motivation high and ensure changes are working, becoming the norm.

Towards the end of working together we might meet less regularly for a check-in and possibly an occasional tweak to keep you where you want to be.

✨ If you had an hour of undivided, non-judgmental support this week what challenge would you focus on?
✨ Looking at your goals, do you need a deep dive to explore or a shorter session with laser focus?
✨ what one step could you take today to get you closer to where you want to be?

Coaching Concepts - a series of posts to support your success and wellbeing.

Today = active listening

Active listening is a core coaching skill where as your coach I am fully present, suspending all judgement and 'listening' with all of my senses so I understand your verbal and non-verbal communication.

Throughout our session I'll reflect back to you some of the things you've said and I'll share things I have noticed, perhaps the use of certain words or pauses. I'll ask open questions that relate to what you've said.

This is all part of building rapport and creating a safe space for you to explore, grow and work towards the outcome you wish to achieve.

In a coaching session we follow the 70/30 rule where I talk for about 30% of the time. The remaining time is for you - time where you might talk or where you might be thinking, using the safe space in the best way for you. This is very different to when you are being mentored.

✨ When was the last time you felt truly heard?
✨ What is your body telling you right now?
✨ What do you need to ask to move forward?

As Valentines day approaches, it got me thinking about love and coaching.

One of the most wonderful things about coaching is just having the space to reconnect with who you are, beneath the noise, expectations and constant doing.

Yes, it gets you from where you are now to where you want to be, but along the way you focus on what matters to you; you can explore your values, your energy and your definition of success. You learn how to care for yourself, love yourself, while building the life you want and deserve.

This Valentine's here's a reminder to reconnect with yourself.

This week is Children’s Mental Health Week.

Children’s Mental Health is close to my heart, not just because I have kids but because when I was young I really suffered with both my mental and physical health. I was lucky though, my parents and Dr found me the help I needed and I got better.

What could have been the worst time in my life became one which taught me about who I am and wanted to be, it gave me a confidence other young people didn't have and it gave me the awareness and skills to look after my mental health for the rest of my life.

The theme for this week is 'this is my place' because having a sense of belonging plays a vital role in mental health and wellbeing. Resources and information for families, schools, workplaces and community groups is available on their website https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/

If this topic interests you, here are some coaching questions to get you thinking:
✨ What helps you feel that you belong?
✨ What environments drain you, and which ones restore you?
✨ What strengths came from challenges you faced earlier in life?
✨ How do the children in your life know they belong?
✨ How do you contribute to other people feeling seen and accepted?
✨ If this resonated, what might that be telling you?

Choosing a coach is a very personal thing; you need to be able to trust and confide in them and they have to be able to deliver.

Clients tell me that the reason they choose to work with me is because of:
✨ Style - which is supportive, positive, firm but fair and friendly.
✨ Impact - clients see and feel progress, achieving positive change.
✨ Space - my coaching allows space for open discussions.

The main reasons people choose to come to me for coaching are:
✨ Feeling stuck, e.g. sticky issue or cul-de sac
✨ Need to fix something, e.g. overwhelm, wellbeing related
✨ Identify next steps and move forward, e.g career development, life crossroads

As your coach I will not judge or criticise, I will be your partner in success, I will question and challenge you, give you space to explore options and transform yourself and I will motivate and inspire you.

I combine my psychology education, senior corporate work experience, coaching tools and personal journey learning to help you get from
where you are now to where you want to be.

When I saw this quote recently I instantly loved it 😍

“the amount of good things in your life depends upon your ability to notice them” (author unknown)

I have been experiencing some tough stuff the last few months and as part of keeping my mental health boosted I’ve been counting my blessings.

I know from experience, and from clients, that some days it’s definitely easier than others to do this and this quote sums it up perfectly!

Some days good things announce themselves loudly but other days they seem whispered - annoyingly that’s actually when it matters most to find them.

When things are tough the thing you’re thankful for might just be a breath that doesn’t hurt or a moment that didn’t ask too much of you.

Coaching questions to help you notice the good things:
✨ What didn’t go wrong today?
✨ What deserves acknowledgement, even if it doesn’t feel like a blessing?
✨ If a friend felt exactly like this, what would you help them notice first?

If you need help with this and / or finding a way to move forward please reach out 💬

OMG how can it be the end of January already!

Don't know about you but this month has flown, and when someone told me that a twelfth (8.3%) of 2026 had nearly gone I was none too pleased...

In this situation I flit between feeling like I want to refocus and achieve, verses wanting to hibernate until I see more sun, so here are some tips and coaching questions to support you depending upon your camp:

✨ Wanting to refocus:
* Revisit your why before piling on more.
* Consider shifting from lots of goals to a couple of meaningful ones
* Within goals remember that small consistent action can beat big bursts.
Q. What actually matters to you right now?
Q. What one small step could you take that future you would thank you for?
Q. What support or structure would make action easier?

✨ Wanting to hibernate:
* Be kind to yourself and give yourself permission to slow down without labelling it as 'failure' or 'lack of drive'.
* Prioritise maintenance and recovery to get your energy where it needs to be.
* Consider setting some minimum standards rather than goals outside the comfort zone.
Q. What would intentional rest do for you right now?
Q. What do you need more of to be yourself again?
Q. What does 'enough' look like right now?

💬 If you need more support just get in touch.

You might be sitting there, scrolling through your phone, feeling stuck or wishing things could be different in a certain area of your life...

Perhaps you've wondered about working with a coach before but didn't know how to choose one, if you could afford one or what would happen once you reached out...

Let me tell you:
✨ Check out my other posts, references or website (www.perpetiel.co.uk) to see whether you like the sound of my work or what others have said about me.
✨ If you'd like to have a chat then book a free 30 minute discovery call https://tidycal.com/jennygoodhand/30-min-discovery-call-36wrlej
✨ At the discovery call I'll simply enquire about why you're interested in coaching and how I might be able to help you.
✨ I'll also answer questions you might have about price (£60 per hour plus VAT, discount for booking a programme of sessions) location (online or face to face if not too far from North Hertfordshire) or anything else.
✨ If I can't help you then I'll give you details of someone who I think might be able to.
✨ If you want to go ahead we'll book the first session and I'll send an invoice, agreement, GDPR form & personal details form for you to complete.
✨ During the sessions you take the lead and we work together to help you get from where you are now to where you want to be. I do this through questions and taking you through coaching models. I might apply some of my psychology knowledge or some NLP. We might have to work on confidence, limiting beliefs, etc.
✨ We will know that we're on track because we'll always be checking back.
✨ As your coach I will not judge or criticise; I will be your partner in success, I will question and challenge you, give you space to explore options and transform yourself and I will motivate and inspire you.

To find out more use the links above or reach out to me here.

I look forward to helping you.
