Wow — what a first week of half term holiday for SportWorks Short Breaks Provision! 🙌

From Monday to Friday we delivered an incredible 2️⃣4️⃣ sessions to 2️⃣2️⃣8️⃣ amazing children — the energy, smiles and enthusiasm have been unreal!

We were proud to officially launch our brand new programme with Westmorland and Furness Council across two locations, and we also delivered the first three sessions of our exciting new partnership with Trafford Council.

And we’re not slowing down… 💥

Saturday provision is still to come tomorrow, before we kick off our North East half term provision next week!

A massive shout out to our incredible team and the fantastic children and families who make everything we do so worthwhile. You are what makes SportWorks special ❤️

What a fantastic time at Barrow Short Breaks! 💙

We’ve been busy getting active, creative and having lots of fun with friends!

From practising our balancing skills and supporting each other in the hall 🤝, to getting outside for some fresh air and chalk creations 🎨⭐, and even enjoying some hands-on sensory play with dough — it’s been a week full of smiles, confidence building and teamwork!

It’s wonderful to see everyone trying new activities, supporting one another and shining in their own way 🌟

Yesterday we were delighted to launch our brand-new Kendal and Barrow Short Breaks, delivered with Westmorland and Furness Council 🎉

Our launch day was a fantastic success, bringing together families and a wide range of engaging activities specially designed for children and young people with SEND. From creative workshops to active play, it was wonderful to see so many smiles, new friendships forming, and families connecting in a supportive, inclusive environment.

This is just the beginning! We have even more exciting sessions planned throughout the week and across the coming weekends — offering fun, flexible short breaks that give children enriching experiences and families valuable time to recharge.

Our Trafford Short Breaks Programme is in full swing today – and what a fantastic start it’s been! 🙌

It’s been amazing to see so many young people getting involved, trying new activities, building friendships and having fun in a safe and supportive environment. From creative sessions to active games, there’s been something for everyone to enjoy.

A huge thank you to our dedicated team and all the families who make this programme so special. We’re proud to be delivering enriching short breaks in Trafford, supporting children and young people to thrive.

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND? Do you enjoy being active, creative, and making a real difference?

SportWorks is looking for enthusiastic SEND Activity Workers to join our team in Kendal and Derby.

🧩 The role includes:
• Delivering fun, inclusive activity sessions
• Supporting children and young people with SEND
• Creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment
• Working as part of a supportive team
• Weekend and school holiday work available, 5 hours per session

💙 We’re looking for people who are:
• Reliable, caring, and patient
• Confident working with children/young people
• Experienced in SEND (preferred but not essential)
• Passionate about inclusion and activity-based work

💷 Pay: £13 – £20 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
