Huge thanks to Dragon Hall volunteer Richard Wilson, who led our group along the River from Deptford to Greenwich and all the winding roads in between. During the walk, Richard provided a wonderful insight into the history of the docks and the regeneration of the area.

It was a wonderful two and a half hours plus and we all deserved a cup of tea (or something stronger) afterwards

A group of Dragon Hall members visited London Zoo this week, a great time was had by all, especially those who had not been for some time. Nathan told DH that the last time he visited the Zoo was when his children were little, the eldest is now 50, so that was 40 years ago. Nathan remarked how much it had changed and for the better!

As part of Dragon Hall's timetable, we organise regular health walks. Yesterday our wonderful volunteer, Richard, led a group from Canada Water to London Bridge. Along the way, Richard shared his in depth knowledge of the area, providing a history lesson as well as a healthy ramble!

We finished our walk by viewing the Chimpanzee trail, 28 bronze chimpanzees by the River Thames, a free art trail to support conservation projects.

Everyone enjoyed the morning and the cup of tea afterwards

Members of Dragon Hall attended the special Community Preview last Sunday of Feminine power: the divine to the demonic; celebrates the power and diversity of the divine female in world culture and belief, from the ancient world to today.

This is what one member said of the visit: Thank you Dragon Hall for another ‘good’un’ today : and not even crowded. A predominance of female visitors, I noticed ….. It was thought -provoking rather than enjoyable….There was also an Indian dance performance in the great court at 1:30 which was truly beautiful to watch.

From CH
The mindfulness tour was a wonderful experience, being asked to 'close your eyes', in a world-class gallery, focus on just one painting and really immerse yourself in the moment, was so difficult but so rewarding. I have not been to the Wallace Collection in years, but having stepped over the threshold, a desire to go back and spend a day or two there and really explore the wonderful art there was a positive.
