✨There is nothing like a Dame!
We hosted a fantastic tour celebrating 's rich performing arts history, visiting famous theatres, old theatre buildings, and landmarks across the borough; brilliantly hosted by Dame Dolly Dimple of Age Exchange.

The day ended with a surprise for the attendees, an opportunity to get involved with fun activities such as sing-alongs and acting exercises.

Remembrance Day is a way to reflect on our lives and the people who made it possible.
We think about all the men who fought on the frontlines, the women who worked in the munitions factories, the animals that were trained and supported the troops on the battlefield, the ordinary people who helped rebuild the country, and all the lives that were lost during the conflicts.
It is never too late to pay respects to them. Lest We Forget.🌹🖤

Get down to the Royal Docks for Rekindling by Compagnie Carabosse, an evening of incredible fire installation as part of the Royal Docks Originals festival. 🔥

Thursday 25 September and Friday 26 September, this mesmerising experience at Royal Victoria Dock will feature fire, sounds, music and stories from around the docks to reflect on memories of the past and hopes for Royal Docks’ future.

Rekindling explores the metamorphosis of the Royal Docks. Built during the Industrial Revolution as the largest enclosed docks in the world, Royal Docks aided London’s growth as a global city. Now the area is re-emerging as a centre for enterprise, innovation and culture – powered by its diverse communities

We are about to enter an exciting new strategic planning phase, and are looking for trustees who can bring fresh perspectives and new ideas to help shape what’s next for Community Transport Waltham Forest and community transport delivery in East London.

🔸 The role is strategic (not operational), with 4–5 board meetings per year (in person, East London).

🔸 It’s a voluntary position (expenses covered), but one with real impact in the local community.

🔸 We are especially keen to hear from women based in East or North East London, especially people with experience in HR, social services, or community development. That all said, individuals with enthusiasm, commitment, and fresh ideas from any background are encouraged to apply.

If you're interested, please get in touch with our General Manager, Nayyer.

We have set up a new page for our project!
Building Local Community Transport For The Future

We have started a 2 Year study project, with thanks to Motability Foundation, which focuses on different ways that Community Transport services can be carried out to better help areas in London which have little to no service of this type.

Be sure to follow the journey along - We'll be posting updates, with call outs over there.

How did we celebrate the launch of WFCT in 1995? We threw a launch party, complete with a delicious makeshift bus cake.

This year, at our 30th year anniversary tea party, we paid homage to the launch by having a replica of the iconic cake!

Thank you .m.heather for the beautiful cake.
