Are you happy? This should be a simple question, but often is the most difficult one to answer to.
But what’s happiness? What does it mean to be happy?
Let’s take a little test and answer honestly to these questions.
- Do you like your job?
- Are you in a healthy relationship?
- Do you have any hobbies? If so, do you enjoy them?
- Do you have good friends?
- Is the relationship with your family good?
- Is your body healthy?
- Is your mind at peace? and your soul?
If you’ve answered YES to every question, good for you! You sound balanced and happy !
If you’ve answered NO to 1-3 of them, you have some issues to resolve, you perhaps feel good some days while others just awful.
If you’ve answered NO to 4-7 of them, I’m sorry, mostly of time you feel blue and you are not happy with your life.

If you’ve scored more than 1 it means there’s something in your life you need to change. But how? Don’t think about how many things you need to change, nor how big are your issues. Just focus on one very small step to take, just one little thing that is easy for you to change. It could be as simple as drinking more water during the day. Actuality doesn’t matter how big is your step, as long is a step you are heading towards a better life, a better you.
Have a nice journey!

You are beautiful.
And not just for the little make-up you wear.
You are beautiful for how much life you’ve lived,
For the dreams you have
that I’m not aware of.
You are beautiful for every time it was your turn,
but you let someone else go first.
For the words said in vain
and for those looked for far away.
For every tear dropped
and for those hidden in the night
at the complicit moonlight.
For the smile you experience,
the attentions you don’t find,
the emotions you feel
and the hope you create.
You are simply beautiful
as a flower picked in a rush,
an unexpected gift,
a stolen glance,
a sincere hug.
You are beautiful
and it doesn’t matter if the world doesn’t know it,
you are truly beautiful,
but only to whom really knows how to look at you.

Stress has the power to deeply influence the way we sense life and our reaction to what we experience mentally, emotionally and physically.
This is because it generates an alarm at different levels in order to be able to “fight or fly”, but what happens when we constantly live in a stress condition? Amongst other consequences, the heart rate accelerates, the breathing becomes shallow, the digestion slows down and the Immune System loses its balance.

Even though sometimes seems impossible to deal with everything without feeling stressed, we can take a break and rebalance our wellbeing through the breathing. When you breathe deeply, your brain receives the message to calm down, your heart rate slows and your whole body becomes more relaxed.

Here’s a simple mindful breathing exercise you can do at your workplace to cultivate mindfulness and improve the quality of your health.
Sit down comfortably and take a few slow and deep breaths, breathing into your abdomen. Inhale for 3 seconds, hold your breath for 3 seconds and exhale from the mouth slowly for 6 seconds. The air should move out on its own as your diaphragm relaxes, without any pushing or forcing on your part. Notice if there is any tension in your jaw, neck or throat and try to relax.

Do this breathing exercise for about 5 minutes or until you need it.

About me

I am an experienced registered osteopath, I've worked in the health field for over ten years and I believe in the extraordinary ability of the body to restore the lost balance and to be in a harmonious condition.

My holistic approach is a clear reflection of my years of research and study during which I've deepened not only my knowledge about the human body and its functions and dysfunctions, but also the powerful connection between physical conditions, emotions and mind.

Therefore, my interest in finding more efficient pathways toward the wellness of the whole person lead me to expand my expertise through several postgraduate courses and masters in both medicine and osteopathy, and also to learn different healing methods such as Shiatsu, Reiki and Crystal Therapy.

During every session I give special attention to the needs and requests of my patients with whom I plan the best suitable treatment possible being carful to let them feel at ease in every moment.
