Swede Chips - why not?

Recipe & Ingredients ….
Just cut up swede and sprinkle with whatever seasoning you have / want on it, then bake in a hot 🔥 oven for 30 minutes. Again, timings vary depending on the temperature of your oven and how you like them - hard, soft, caramelised or not etc!

🧅Onion Skin Tea - for clouds & flu 🤧

Let’s remember this remedy made from discarded onion 🧅 peelings .

A resident reminded me about this yesterday, for my cold / flu 🤧. It’s amazing how red in colour the brew is and how mild it tastes 👅. It is not oniony at all.

I had used 2 onions to make a chick-pea curry yesterday. So this morning I boiled the peelings and simmered for about 15 mins, then I drank a cupful when it cooled. Tonight I’ll consume the rest before bed 🛌

Depending on your personal taste you can add ginger 🫚 to the simmering onion skins and add some lemon 🍋 juice and / or honey 🍯 before drinking.

Enjoy … in fact you don’t have to wait until you are unwell with a cold. Why not wash and boil up your onion skins, to get the goodness therein, before you throw them away 👌🏾
