NMDA National Motorcycle Dealers Association (NMDA) NMDA is a trade association for motorcycle dealers and as such represents dealers rather than manufacturers.

National Motorcycle Dealers Association (NMDA), formerly the Motorcycle Retailers Association (MRA) has been rebranded as it renews its commitment to boost the motorcycle industry and assist members with their businesses. Our activity and the commercial packages we offer reflect this. NMDA offers practical advice on legal issues, HR, tax and VAT and health and safety guidance as well as preferential offers on commercial services such as banking, insurance, credit card processing and utilities. In addition to this, we undertake a twice yearly Dealer Attitude Survey where motorcycle dealers can confidentially give their views and opinions on their relationship with their manufacturer. As well as the practical benefits, NMDA also act as a voice for the motorcycle retail industry. Our representatives are in continual dialogue with relevant government departments in order to stay abreast of policy developments which are communicated to members via our e-newsletters.

The NMDA DAS provides an overview of Power-Two-Wheelers (PTW) dealers’ satisfaction levels with key business issues affecting the relationship with their manufacturers. The survey attracted an improved response rate of 27%.

March 2021 results displayed an overall reduction year on year, of 6.2% (807 Units) in new Powered Two Wheeler (PTW) registrations.

With showrooms being permitted to open again, in one form or another across the UK, dealers are expecting a release of pent-up demand. While uncertainty remains around getting the industry to recover from a year-to-date drop of 20.4% (4858 Units), confidence amongst dealers remains high. http://ow.ly/vGG250EociJ
