Work Your Hours Day isn’t about doing less, it’s about doing the work we’re paid for - and not being expected to work for free.
Staying late, getting in early without clocking in, skipping breaks: across workplaces, unpaid overtime has quietly become “normal.” But those extra minutes add up to hours of unpaid labour.
That’s why our members have taken collective action to negotiate more balanced hours, fairer overtime agreements, and even paid breaks.
TUC Work Your Hours Day is a collective call from across unions: fair pay for fair work.
