Experience awe moments......

Do you ever look up as the sun is setting and sometimes it is as if some mysterious hand has painted the sky in an amazing abstract of swirls and streaks in perfectly complementary, vivid colours which makes you gasp and say ‘wow’, and you experience this sense of being a part of something much larger than yourself?

Experiencing awe moments takes your mind away from troublesome thoughts, as you focus on the here and now.

Connect with your inner child!

Can you remember as a child what gave you joy? What made you laugh with abandoned glee? What games did you play, what books did you read? Did you draw, dress up, collect things or bake cakes? Did you like to jump and make big splashes in puddles and climb trees?

If you're going through a difficult time in your life, or just feeling a bit low and out of sorts with yourself, being out in nature can clear your head and give you the space to forget your troubles and worries for a while.

It can give you the time, emotional and mental space away from other people, social media, the demands of your busy life etc.... that you might need to enable you to reflect and ponder over something that has been bothering you. Hopefully, in the quiet and beautiful setting - the answers you seek will arise from within.

Are you into crystals?

Rose Quartz, is one of my favourites. Its known as the stone of the heart and according to an article written by Judy Hall (crystal pro) for Soul and Spirit magazine, it is one of 10 comfort crystals you can use when dealing with grief.

She says:

It was lovely to chat with Terri for her ‘Create Your Story’ Podcast. We covered quite a few topics - creativity, grief and loss, grief coaching, pro-ageing, lifestyle modelling and more!

We each create our own stories, and sometimes it’s nice to reflect on how far you’ve come, what you’ve achieved or not achieved, challenges you’ve experienced and overcome and so much more. Central to much of this (I believe), is learning to be true to yourself.

February is known as the month of love, with Valentine’s Day falling on the 14th. Whilst this particular day is often thought of as a day for couples, in many cultures, it is seen as a special day to celebrate anyone who you love and care about – whether a partner, family members, friends or your companion pet.

But, it can be a painful time, if one or some of those you love are no longer around and you are still grieving.
