We posted in August about the 4 year old boy who came to us and here is our post again in English as well as Croatian:-
Well we've had another amazing week and to top it off we had another fantastic result! Having helped a 4 year old boy in February who wasn't speaking, he completed AIT and LWS and went on to have an Neuro-developmental assessment and home programme.
We usually review progress at 6 weeks.
Having actually asked his parents to see us again, we found
his speech has now developed as well as improvements in auditory processing, understanding, responses and response times, sensible answers, full eye and face contact, no hesitations, ability to walk up and downstairs with one foot over the other, pronounciation, enunciation, especially of T.S. Eliot's Cat Macavity and other cats.
Undertanding questions even when his back is turned and ability to answer. Also without delay.
His grandparents have said he has come on in leaps and bounds and his parents have told us they are both 'over the moon'.
He is eating more and his pallor is so much better. He is eating chicken, sausages and cucumber amongst other foods. His eye is straighter. He was also able to pronounce my name as Pauline and not Paulee.
I was able to 'sign him off' at his first review!! Truly astonishing!!
He has now been accepted into a mainstream prep school in September!
This makes it all so worthwhile. We are smiling like Cheshire cats!!!
Imali smo još jedan nevjerojatan tjedan, a da sve bude još bolje, postigli smo još jedan fantastičan rezultat! U veljači smo pomogli četverogodišnjem dječaku koji nije govorio; završio je AIT i LWS programe te potom obavio neuro-razvojnu procjenu i dobio kućni program.
Obično napredak provjeravamo nakon šest tjedana.
Kada su nas roditelji ponovno zamolili da ga pregledamo, otkrili smo da mu se govor znatno razvio, a primjetna su i poboljšanja u auditivnoj obradi, razumijevanju, reakcijama i brzini odgovora. Daje smislenije odgovore, ostvaruje puni kontakt očima i licem, nema oklijevanja, može se penjati i silaziti niz stepenice jednom nogom ispred druge, a izgovor mu je mnogo bolji, osobito pri recitiranju T.S. Eliotove pjesme o mačku Macavityju i drugim mačkama.
Razumije pitanja čak i kada je okrenut leđima i može odmah odgovoriti bez odgode.
Njegovi baka i djed su rekli da je „napredovao ogromnim koracima“, a roditelji su nam rekli da su „presretni“.
Više jede i ten mu je mnogo bolji. Jede piletinu, kobasice i krastavce, između ostaloga. Oći su mu ravnije. Također je uspio pravilno izgovoriti moje ime Pauline, a ne „Paulee“.
Mogla sam ga „otpustiti“ već na prvom pregledu!! Zaista nevjerojatno!!
Sada je primljen u redovnu školu od rujna!
