There is anatomy.

And then there is energetic anatomy.

Meridian-based asana bridges the two.

This five-day immersion with Rose Erin Vaughan explores how the 12 Energy Lines intersect with fascia, organs, emotional patterning, and modern movement practice.

Rose brings over two decades of clinical and teaching experience to this work. She rarely teaches in Europe, and we have invited her to London specifically for this immersion at Indaba - making this a particularly special opportunity to study with her directly.

For teachers, this offers a more nuanced lens for sequencing and adjustments.

For experienced practitioners, it deepens awareness beyond muscular engagement into organ support and subtle integration.

Each day combines:
• Pranayama and purification
• Meridian-based vinyasa and yin
• Lecture and discussion
• Hands-on acupressure application
• Evening body scan and integration

Pre-course modules are sent one month prior and must be completed before arrival.

Before flowers.

Before romance.

Before celebration.

Yoga teaches loving kindness as a way of being.

Maitrī is the steady warmth beneath the practice,
the patience in a difficult pose,
the compassion we offer ourselves when we falter,
the generosity we extend to others.

Today, and every day, may your practice be rooted in kindness.

❤️ Before Valentine’s Day arrives, consider this your invitation.

Love is not only softness.
Sometimes it is discipline.
Sometimes it is strength.
Sometimes it is deep rest.

This weekend, whether you are drawn to dynamic practice, precise alignment, devotional movement or heart-opening ceremony, there is space here for you.

From strong Saturday flows to Sunday’s spiritual gatherings, each practice offers a different way to return to yourself.

✨✨❤️If love is a practice, begin here.❤️✨✨

With just days to go before the course begins, we find ourselves reflecting on previous trainings with Norman Blair.

Norman’s teaching is a quiet gift to those wishing to deepen their practice – whether you are a qualified teacher or a dedicated student drawn to explore yoga beyond the physical. This course is intimate, offering a rare opportunity to work closely with Norman, alongside Maitripushpa Bois, and to engage deeply with Yin Yoga, meridian theory, and mindful awareness.

We know how meaningful these trainings can be. But rather than tell you, we’ll let the voices of past participants speak for themselves.

For the next two weeks, Ammar Bass will be covering Raphan’s timetabled slot, offering open-level Vinyasa Flow classes on Thursday 5th and Thursday 12th February.

In these dynamic, open classes, breath and movement are woven together as you flow through postures and transitions with presence and intention.
Ammar brings a rich and thoughtful approach to his teaching. Having trained at the renowned Sivananda Kutir in the Himalayas, and studied extensively under Stewart Gilchrest and Emi Tull, his classes are a skilful fusion of strength, curiosity, and conscious breathing. Expect intelligent sequencing, space to explore new postures safely, and a practice that invites a deeper connection with your body.

We can’t wait to welcome Ana Forrest and Jose Calarco back to Indaba Yoga this May for the 70hr Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training.
A 9-day immersive journey into movement, medicine, and meaning.

More than a training, this is an initiation into the living heart of Forrest Yoga:
ceremony woven into asana, storytelling carried through breath, sound and prayer, and a practice that asks not just “how you move”, but “how you live”.

Expect daily ritual, advanced teaching skills, shamanic sound healing, and the rare opportunity to learn directly from the creators of this lineage – held in a powerful, supportive container designed to awaken your unique teaching voice.

Participants don’t need to master all the poses – a consistent personal practice is required, along with openness to go deeper into the Great Mystery. Open to non-teachers.
An experience that changes your life.

✨ Cacao & Sound Ceremony
A Journey to the Heart with Othman Haddad ✨

🗓 Sun 15 Feb 2026
🕑 2:00 – 4:00 PM
💫 £40

This Valentine’s weekend, we invite you to turn inward, toward the most important relationship of all: the one with your own heart.

Join us for a heart-opening ceremony where sacred cacao and sound come together to support presence, connection, and inner listening.

We begin by sharing a cup of rare, ceremonial-grade cacao, sourced from the top 1% of cacao worldwide. Long revered as a gentle yet powerful plant ally, cacao is believed to support heart-opening, clarity of intention, and deeper connection, meeting each participant at their own pace.

From there, you’ll be guided into an immersive sound journey, offered with precision, sensitivity, and respect for the collective energy of the room. Since 2016, these ceremonies have supported hundreds of participants in deeply meaningful inner experiences, where vibration becomes a gateway to stillness and insight.

A beautiful way to mark Valentine’s weekend - solo or shared - rooted in self-connection and embodied listening. 🤍

Iyengar Yoga is a classical form of Hatha yoga developed by B.K.S. Iyengar. It is an alignment-focused practice, taught with precision and care, where detailed sequencing helps students understand how each posture works in the body.

Props such as blocks, straps, chairs and ropes are used as intelligent support, allowing the practice to be adapted to each individual body. This makes Iyengar Yoga accessible for people with injuries or physical limitations, as well as deeply informative for those looking to refine their technique.

Classes are structured and methodical, with clear guidance and steady pacing. The emphasis is on building strength, stability and awareness over time, creating a practice that is safe, sustainable and confidence-building.

We offer Iyengar Yoga classes for Beginners, Open Level and Experienced practitioners, both in studio and online, supporting students at every stage of their practice at Indaba Yoga Studio.

Our Story

Indaba believes passionately in the positive benefits of yoga and the great things that can happen when you feel good.

The word Indaba is an ancient African term for “gathering”, and this idea lies at the heart of Indaba - to bring people together, provide the opportunity to step away from daily life, and take the time to reconnect both with ourselves and with the world around us.

In 2011 we opened the doors to our beautiful space, to bring a more welcoming, positive and non-judgemental attitude to yoga, respecting the ancient traditions but also embracing new styles where appropriate. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of teaching, space and facilities, we aim to provide fun, uplifting, energising and challenging experiences in which anyone, beginner or expert, can share.
