Already experiencing the important need for this rehab having returned to work in the NHS during this crisis. Patients who have had Covid 19 and periods of treatment in ITU are presenting with cognitive impairments and post infection fatigue that will have consequences for returning to work and life roles. The demand for rehabilitation is going to be great, long after this crisis ‘ends’.

Recovering patients may still experience weakness, breathlessness and anxiety, therapists say.
