Dr Sarwar features in a recent Refinery29 article related to a skincare trend named “slugging”. This involves the application of a thick layer of Vaseline to the face before bed, the aim of which is strong moisturisation.

Dr Sarwar does now recommend this as it can lead to strong acne outbreaks, instead recommends using an oil free moisturiser containing glycerin/hyaluronic acid.

Our patient here was complaining of severe bruxism - subconscious grinding/clenching of teeth. This can result in facial pain, headaches and the wearing down of tooth enamel. Patients can often suffer for many years trying various mouth guards which never really address the underlying problem.

Dr Sarwar injected Botox into her masseter muscle to resolve this medical condition. Botox relaxes the muscle, leading to atrophy/weakness which reduces muscle density & strength. A noted side effect of this treatment is slimming and tapering of the lower face, noted in the photos here which were taken three weeks apart. Results last roughly 4-6 months

Our patient Alice felt that she looked “tired and angry” & underwent dermal filler treatment to her nose-mouth lines/lips. Her folds are mild-moderate in strength, and we were delighted with a complete resolution to Alice’s concerns.

Nose-mouth lines are a common patient concern, and over the years we have seen a trend for practitioners to recommend a cheek augmentation to lift the cheeks in an attempt to soften these lines. However we strongly feel that these lines can be treated directly, Juvederm acts almost like a “photoshop brush” to these wrinkles.

The nose to mouth line area is anatomically one of the most dangerous areas to treat, and we recommend a cannula for this procedure. Further to this, we subtly improved the volume of Alice’s lips whilst focusing upon definition.

Immediate before/after of our patient who was referred to us by one of our lovely colleagues . This was our patients second tear trough procedure. Dr Sarwar injected 0.5ml of Juvederm Volbella through a cannula (minimal bruising). Results with this premium filler product last at least one year. We are well versed in tear trough augmentation, having been performing them for 9 years with no major adverse effects. Price £430
