Have you considered starting or deepening a meditation practice but not known where to start? Join us for this three session course for insights into how to practice paying attention to the present moment with a sense of curiosity, without judgement, in formal practice and in daily life.

Developed by Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, this course will take place on Zoom with teachers Joanna Brown and Sarah Laurie, who will guide practices and group discussions. Course materials and recordings are provided for home practice, with a recommended daily commitment of 15–20 minutes. The cost of the three session course is £45.

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with a sense of curiosity, and without judgement. This involves becoming more aware of thoughts, emotions and body sensations and allowing them to be, without trying to change things. Evidence shows that this can lead to an increased sense of calm and wellbeing.

About the course

This introductory course is designed for those with little or no experience of mindfulness. Developed by Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, it will take place on Zoom with teachers Joanna Brown and Sarah Laurie, who will guide practices and group discussions. Course materials and recordings are provided for home practice, with a recommended daily commitment of 15–20 minutes. The cost of the three session course is £45.

If only I had one of these signs flashing in my brain whenever I was sliding towards overwhelm. A reminder to stop the frantic multi tasking and be here now. Make time to connect, to be curious, to wish people well, to cultivate joy and notice warmth in my heart.

Slowing down is not a waste of time, in fact the result will be a more resilient, energised, healthy version of You, rather than the frazzled , burnt out version! Even a 3 minute breathing space can help you tap into this more grounded version and help you proceed mindfully.

✨Gratitude for the changing seasons ✨

And in a strange way…. Gratitude for the cold/flu that has stopped me in my tracks for the past 4 days, reminding me what must be done and what can wait. I am re-emerging now with a deeper sense of self care, rest, slowness, intention.
