I started an all levels pottery course this January .participation.team with a very experienced and knowledgeable tutor, and some great women to sit side by side with to chat, connect and create.

Doing something that is nothing to do with work, the mental load of domesticity or caring for children.

A creative activity, exclusively for me to learn and play.

Life skills I tell my children.

Remembering to play.

Joy from my work comes frequently. But I'm trying to create and cultivate that feeling in as many places in my life as possible. My shield against this dark, bonkers world.

I feel very privileged to have the chance to do this, but also recognising how focused I am on looking after myself better. Nobody is going to do it for me.

So today involved a hot yoga class, then a trip to the city to do an improvisation class with the company .

The class was a mind-blowing mixture of play, voice work and creative games which were brilliant to be a part of.

It's was pver an hour to reach them but worth it. On my mission to hunt down what fills my cup.

This is my starting point for exploring pmdd through art. Pre menstrual dysphoric disorder is a real killer. My diagnosis in my 40s after children shone a light on how sensitive I am to naturally occuding hormones.

Thankfully the .pmdd.collective
Helped me find a trusting cohort of women experiencing the same illness.

Its getting worse each month, so im looking at new ways to manage alongside therapy, Hrt, vitamins and more..

This year I've been reminding myself of helpful habits( not 'good habbits'-sacking off being moralisticly damning about myself - where possible- language matters) like keeping my book next to my bed as my relax mechanism to divert my swirly active mind at night.

Not only that, the book club that I'm part of contains the most wonderful, funny, smart, brilliant beautiful women. So win win 🏆

So this is some of wk1 and part 2 the workshop I led, did the nature frames, and I ran the botanical prints workshop the following week with the amazing supporting us both every step of the way!

I loved how botanical prints made people look closely when foraging and thinking about negative space.

I loved how, when foraging and creating the frames, the pride people took in their creations.

Since finishing the workshops, we have had participants join us for community growing and joining in the community knitting run by , which takes place

Nature crafts was a project funded by the as part of the winning borough of culture bid that Wandsworth are celebrating. The amazing supportive crew at helped us get this project off the ground.

The main vibe was about giving parents a safe space to create in nature whilst having a safe space for their children to engage in nature based crafts, too.

Having severe post natal depression was tough. Thanks to and , I made it through to the other side.

When I was crafting or in nature,I felt like a human again.

I wanted to create the opportunity for other parents to have such a restorative space, too. So, with and , we created what you see in the images above.

I've always felt that was a magic place. What a gift to be able to share that energy with others.
