Each year, we celebrate children and young people who are breaking down barriers, defying expectations, and showing the world what ability truly looks like.
In the coming months, we will be launching a new initiative “(Downs Syndrome and the child of colour)” an event to listen, to document, and to honour the stories of other families raising children with Down syndrome. Because the more we share, the more we learn. And the more we learn, the stronger we become.
We want to hear about your experience. And let’s remember what this is all about — making sure that every child, regardless of their ability, has the chance to shine.

Kayes Friends is a Community Interest Company established by Dorothy in 2009 after the death of her daughter Kaye who had Downs Syndrome.
