Get ready with me. ✨
I went to the Christmas Live 2025, where I spoke on the beauty stage about one thing that never dates: how to build the perfect routine for bright, clear skin.

It was so lovely to share the stage with the brilliant - such good energy in the room.

Should I film more get ready with me breakdowns for events like this? Let me know in the comments!

Some days capture everything you love - a gentle start to the day, the buzz of clinic life, making plans with a team you adore… and the thrill of seeing Flawless Moisturiser Intense take home its ninth award (incredibly number 10 AND 11 have also just just landed….more on this to come!!)

It’s a reminder of why consistency matters - in routines, in research, in the daily habits that keep you on track as you progress towards the ultimate goal of bright, clear skin.

Should we film more behind-the-scenes days like this?

Age faster? Absolutely not.

Here’s what you should actually do to fuel longevity - the real habits that protect your energy, resilience and power to repair:
1. Vitamin D matters 💊
Daily supplementation keeps levels stable all year - especially during winter somewhere like the UK when there’s almost no UVB. It’s not just about healthy bones - a recent Harvard study found that taking 2000 iu vitamin D3 per day slowed telomere shortening, the protective DNA caps that influence how quickly you age.

2. Move for your Mitochondria 🏃‍♀️
Your cells rely on these tiny power plants. Zone 2 cardio or HIIT helps create new ones - supporting steady energy as the years pass. Not only that, chemical messengers from your muscles released during exercise can travel through the blood stream to your skin to influence new collagen formation.

3. Fast. Reset. Repair. 👩‍🔧
Intermittent fasting - fasting for 16 hrs, restricting your eating window to 8h - switches on autophagy, your body’s deep-clean mode that clears worn-out cell structures to make room for fresh ones.

4. Eat the rainbow 🌈
Polyphenols (think pigment that make blueberries blue) are full of antioxidants and act like plant-powered senolytics, killing off inflammation-spreading zombie cells, which helps your body repair. They also strengthen your gut microbiome.

5. Protect your sleep 💤
Sleep is repair time. It’s where your body restores mitochondrial function and supports those DNA caps again.

Let me know if you want another longevity-focused recipe!
