For the first time, I’m giving you a gentle peek into what actually happens during a colonic treatment.

🔍🕵️Many people are curious, especially if they’re new to it, and even regular clients like a reminder of how the process works.

🆕Everything we use is professional and disposable.

We begin the session using warm filtered water and what you’ll notice is how the water changes from clear to… well, productive. 💩💩💩

People are fascinated by this part. 🫣😳It often helps them understand why they’ve been feeling bloated, uncomfortable, or constipated.

How much releases depends on many factors: your diet, hydration levels, stress, gas, bowel movement, and overall digestion.🧩 So every session looks a little different.

Remember, a good session isn’t just about the amount released. It’s about improving digestion, reducing bloating, easing discomfort, and supporting the bowel long term.

🥗🫜⛓️🌿We always work holistically with diet, lifestyle, and sometimes gentle herbal support to achieve the best results.

Send a DM if you would like to book an appointment, or book online using the link in the bio.

Sad but true!
I’m really surprised that even now, when the majority work from home, people still aren’t cooking and prepping their own meals.
Instead, they’re relying on deliveries and takeaways.

Vegetable intake is still low, even though these are the foods we should be valuing the most and that are consistently proven to support health. Stop looking for the best pill or powder, and start consuming vegetables.

Don’t overlook one of the simplest, most affordable, and most effective sources of fibre: pears🍐 🍐🍐

Pears are rich in soluble fibre, especially pectin.
This type of fibre helps support digestion and promote regularity in a gentle & natural way.

They’re also budget-friendly, widely available, and perfectly in season right now.
So if you’re looking to increase your fibre intake with something simple, delicious, and nutritious, don’t underestimate pears.

Try adding one into your daily routine and see the difference it makes. 💚

Did you know the herbs we use for winter colds often support your gut too?

In Chinese Medicine, the lungs and large intestine are paired organs, Yin -Yang organs, and when one is congested, the other often feels it.

That’s why soothing herbs like licorice, linseed tea, marshmallow, or mullein are traditionally used to calm both the respiratory system and the digestive mucosa.

Your gut also plays a huge role in your seasonal immunity, so supporting your bowel (and keeping sugars + alcohols in check!) can really help this time of year.

Keep sipping your herbal teas this season.
What’s interesting is that many herbs used for digestive comfort are the same herbs traditionally used for soothing the throat and supporting the lungs.

If you look at the formulas, they’re almost identical:
licorice, marshmallow, fennel, chamomile, cinnamon, thyme & more…

These herbs help soothe and nourish the body’s mucous membranes, which is why they’re used for both gut and respiratory support.

You can enjoy them as teas, take them in blends or syrups, or use them in gentle capsule formulas. Many people notice they support both digestion and chest comfort at the same time.

And remember to keep looking after your gut through warm foods, soups, herbs, and good hydration. Supporting the gut also supports overall wellbeing, especially during cold and flu season.

Of course, you can also choose to have a colonic and add probiotics to help keep your digestive system balanced during this time of year 🤍

🌿The vagus nerve is the main nerve of the parasympathetic nervous system — the system that helps the body rest, digest, and restore. Because it runs through the entire digestive tract, gentle stimulation of the colon can naturally influence vagal activity.

🌿During a colonic hydrotherapy treatment, warm purified water gently expands the colon walls. This activates stretch receptors in the gut lining, which send signals through the vagus nerve to the brainstem, encouraging the body to shift into parasympathetic (relaxation) mode.

🌿As the treatment continues, clients often slow their breathing, which further activates the vagus nerve. This can support deep relaxation, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and sometimes allow emotional release — all signs of improved vagal tone.

This gentle vagus nerve stimulation is just one of the many benefits of a professional Colonic Hydrotherapy The result?
✨ A calmer nervous system
✨ Reduced anxiety
✨ Improved sleep patterns
✨ Sometimes even an emotional release
✨ And a beautifully refreshed digestive system

Let’s talk friendly bacteria! 🦠💚

Probiotics and prebiotics play a big role in keeping our gut healthy. They naturally come from foods like fruit, vegetables, yogurt, and fermented foods, but if you struggle to eat these regularly, a good-quality supplement can be helpful.

There are many options on the market, so it’s always best to check with a practitioner to find what suits you best.

After a colonic, we also recommend supporting the gut with friendly bacteria as well as increasing foods that help friendly bacteria grow—is good practice.

Don’t forget prebiotic foods like garlic (even if it’s not everyone’s favourite! 😉).

And if swallowing capsules is difficult, probiotics also come in liquid or powder form, or you can open certain capsules and mix them into food.

Your gut has options—choose what works best for you! 🌿✨

Wellness pairings that clients love:

👣 Reflexology + Colon Hydrotherapy

There are specific points on the feet associated with different systems in the body. When we gently work around the digestive-related areas may help encourage relaxation, support natural movement, and prepare the body for a more centred experience.

🙌🏻Abdominal Massage + Colon Hydrotherapy

Massage strokes across the abdomen when combined with soothing aromatherapy oils help ease tension, support natural movement, and help the body feel more ready and settled before a colonic session.

Want to explore this combination for yourself or someone you care about?

Did you know you can combine colon hydrotherapy with other treatments, especially bodywork such as massage and reflexology? 🙌🏻🙌🏻👣👣🦶👂

One of my favourite additions is abdominal massage, which helps make your session more relaxing and can also support a more effective, productive treatment.

I offer this either with my bespoke aromatherapy oils or with a warming castor-oil pack to aid detoxification and stimulate the bowel. The session is slightly longer, allowing your body to settle into a more relaxed parasympathetic state while enhancing the overall benefits.

If you’d like to find out more or book this combination, feel free to get in touch.

Such a rare and beautiful November in London.

We’ve got clear skies, warm sunshine, and the trees showing off their richest colours of gold, red, and amber.

I took my little frog 🐸 for a long walk around the neighbourhood, just soaking in all the beauty.

We stopped for a warm drink, watched the golden leaves fall.

The earthy tones, the movement, the fresh air ground you, calm your nervous system, and fill you with quiet joy.

Sometimes, all you need is a walk, colour therapy straight from nature and a little frog by your side to remind you how healing nature really is.🌾☕🍂
