STRATEGY!!
Most people think fat loss requires drastic measures. The truth? It’s the small, consistent changes that make the biggest impact — just like Fiona’s journey with me.

She came to me overwhelmed, constantly self-bashing for not being “perfect” while juggling a demanding career and frequent travel. So, we started with 3 mindset shifts:

1️⃣ Stop overcomplicating it.
2️⃣ Stop trying to do everything at once.
3️⃣ Shift from fat loss to building healthy habits.

Instead of aiming for 10k steps, we added movement that fit her lifestyle — pacing on client calls, walking through airports instead of sitting, and taking short walks during lunch breaks. Every extra 10 steps count and they add up.

Same with food: add veggies to two meals, reduce takeaways, choose more protein, swap chips for salad but keep the burger! Progress, not perfection.

No more overwhelm. No more all-or-nothing. Just small steps, consistently.

I been working with a very short client for a while! She’s even shorter than me!!! 5ft!
She told me something I’ve heard countless times:

“I’ve been on a low-calorie diet for years, but I never lose weight.”

The truth? If you’re smaller and not very active, what feels like “low calories” may not actually create a deficit. And if you follow the same approach as someone who can eat more, you’ll feel stuck.

Does she need to lose weight? No. But she wants to — and even a couple of kilos feels like a lot on a smaller frame. Life’s too short to feel unhappy in your body when change is possible.

Once I start, I can’t stop. One biscuit becomes 10 — then it’s fridge raid at midnight.

That dreaded “fk it mode”** isn’t about willpower — it’s a pattern you can break. Believe me I’VE BEEN THERE!

This the FITBUDDIE strategy that helps change your mindset and reactions:

🔹 1. Catch the Thought & REPLACE IT

“I’ve blown it,” with “One slip doesn’t undo ALL the progress I’ve made!”

🔹 2. Pause for 5 Minutes
Walk away, drink water, grab a hot water bottle.
You’re not saying no — just not now. The desire weakens over time.

🔹 3. Ditch Perfection Shift from:

“Must be perfect,” to:
“It’s just a 3 biscuits! So what. No crime has been committed.”

🔹 4. Use a Reset Ritual
Glass of water, walk, brush teeth — any signal that says “we’re done.” I find a hot bath is really useful!

🔹 5. No Punishment Fixes
No skipping meals or extra cardio. Just eat your next balanced meal.
