The World Map of Palliative Care Development, created by the ATLANTES Global Observatory of Palliative Care at the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) at University of Navarra, provides a comparative analysis of palliative care development for 201 countries and territories, representing over 99% of the world’s population. This pioneering research was conducted by ATLANTES using the 14 indicators from the WHO framework and a standardized methodology, with the collaboration of the Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance (WHPCA).
In addition, WHPCA collaborated with ATLANTES to produce an article estimating the number of specialized palliative care services and patients worldwide and an estimating the current gap in access to palliative care globally. Download this article https://ow.ly/8Vjy50Xqsxq
