Yoga isn’t always ease and bliss. Sometimes it’s effort, frustration, and resistance, just like in life. But even in the grit, there’s always space to tap into joy.
When we connect with joy, or the reasons why we practice yoga in the first place, there’s less need to strain or push - we find space to live more intentionally on and off the mat.
So next time you find yourself pushing or grimacing on the mat, pause… and smile. Let your joy be the teacher.

Integrity is what allows us to be whole and complete.
Not perfect. Not “good.” Just aligned.
Integrity isn’t about right or wrong, it’s about matching your thoughts, words, and actions. It’s about honouring your word, whether you’ve spoken it out loud or quietly made it to yourself.
On the mat, integrity looks like full engagement: body and mind working together toward the aim of the practice. A pose with wandering eyes or floppy legs isn’t bad, it’s just less workable. Integrity creates workability. Workability bridges to performance.
Off the mat, integrity is lived through your word. Showing up when you say you will. Living the values you commit to. When your word is whole, you are whole.

Being true to yourself starts with turning inwards, listening for what you know in your heart to be right, and having the courage to act on it.
This practice asks real questions:
- What are my values?
- What do I stand for?
- Does the way I show up each day reflect who I truly am?
Speaking our truth isn’t always easy. We’re wired to seek approval from students, teachers, friends… and when we fear we won’t get it, we shrink. We stay silent.
The shift happens the moment we commit to what we see from within. When we honour that sacred inner voice, we free ourselves to live honestly and wholeheartedly. True transformation doesn’t begin with changing the external: the job, the city, the relationship. It begins with the mirror. With accountability. With choosing to live from your centre.
