"The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war." -Norman Schwarzkopf. ๐ฅโ๏ธ๐ค
I had my first fight over the weekend which I won in the first round with a TKO. Here are some of my thoughts. I accepted this challenge and began to prepare for this fight three months ago. I woke up and thought about the fight, I slept and thought about the fight. I dedicated myself to the process. Blood, sweat and tears. Stepping into the cage was stepping into the unknown. Chaos rules. There were so many potentials and variables in that space. I wanted to try my luck, but you know what they say: Luck favours the prepared. ๐ฅ
I want to thank my people at the gym who helped me prepare, pushed me, beat me up, shouted at me, demanded nothing but the best from me, you all know who you are. I also want to thank the people who believed in me. Your support and love wasn't t lost. Thank you for all my friends putting up with me dropping off the face off the earth and allowing me to focus on the task at hand. The W. I'll be out for beers ๐บ now ๐. Thank you to my clients for their understanding and last minute changes to sessions. Thank you to my gym Underground MMA. My Coach Franta - without him none of this would've been possible.
The lessons and experience I've taken away from this fight are priceless. I will continue to train boxing because I love the discipline and what fighting brings me. I have to get better, fix the mistakes I made in the fight and push on to the next challenge but for now...
