What acupuncturists do to look after themselves. Here are few things most of us follow:
- keeping warm, covering the neck with a scarf, wearing long, warm socks in winter. Protecting back and abdomen from cold invasion.
- eating and drinking warm foods and drinks to support the body in keeping the digestive fire going. Avoid cold/ icy/raw foods, as well as phlegm forming foods like dairy, bananas, oranges, peanuts especially if you live in cold & damp country like UK.
- ensuring restful sleep
- daily movement
- grounding/breathwork
- seek treatment or support when required
- one of my teachers had said once if you get stuck and feel low or unhappy, try to learn something new, it could be anything, as long as you learn something new.

Most of us act on first signs of imbalance to stay well, but as we are also human beings we do get unwell sometimes;)

Pain is one of the most common complaints people come to me with. It affects us on many different levels — sleep, appetite, mental health, relationships, and even the decisions we make. When pain is addressed, we create space to feel better, more balanced, and more aligned with choices that support our life.

With acupuncture treatments, I use different modalities to work with pain. Some of them include needles, moxa, gua sha, cupping, electro-acupuncture, and Evil Bone Water. I also sometimes incorporate breathwork and visualization, giving patients tools they can continue practicing at home.

There isn’t just one way to treat pain — because every body and every nervous system is different. Treatment should be personalised, holistic, and compassionate. Healing happens when we listen to the body and support it from multiple angles. ✨

If you’ve been living with pain, know that you don’t have to do it alone.

Some complaints patients brought in this month:
- Fertility support
- Menopausal symptoms
- Hip pain
- Mental health support
- IBS
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- TMJ- jaw pain
- Teenage painful periods
- Teenage anxiety
- Insomnia
- Painful and heavy periods

Every person is unique and needs a different approach, what often people have in common is that calming the nervous system makes their conditions better. That is why most patients say they feel very relaxed when leaving the clinic.
